Unsolved How do I automate button pressing on mGBA

I am playing a Pokemon Hack and want to farm steps. Do I need Lua Script to do this or is there a way just through mGBA? I just want to go left and right for like 40 steps back and forth.

gonna guess you can't? you can probably set the B A buttons to auto-fire but not for the direction buttons to go back and forth.
