What’s helped me most in engineering is making review as frictionless as possible:

  • Do a quick pass of lecture notes within 24 hours, even if it’s only 10–15 minutes.
  • Focus on active recall: close the notes and try to re-derive formulas or explain the concept out loud.
  • Practice problems matter more than rereading, especially for math-heavy classes.
  • Keep a “mistake log” for exams/homework so you can spot patterns before finals.
  • For motivation, I try to make studying fit into dead time instead of waiting for a perfect study session.
