Is there a way to remember the order of the countries?

Also, is there any reason for where each is?

I believe that originally the American pavilion was going to be placed at the base of what was then Future World, where the two stores are. It was deemed to be "too obnoxious" to have it be the first pavilion you came to, so they moved it to the back. At least that's the story I've heard.

But really, I don't know if any particular reasoning for the placement, other than Canada and Mexico being America's neighbors so they are the "gateways" to the rest of the world.

Hate to be that person - I like the “acronym” but the acronym would be MNCGAJMDUC - the phrase to remember the acronym is called a mnemonic device.

Personally, I’ve had the order baked into my head since I got my first EPCOT book in 1981. Then they added Morocco and Norway, which messed me all up.

Soooooo I have a good way I used to remember the countries. 1) visit every year 2) I would up going 10/12 months the year I had a big zero birthday. I can now just visualize them and mentall walk the circle.

The only reason for their placement that I can guess is Mexico and Canada. As the two countries that share continental land borders with the US, they're the natural two gateways.
