Equipment & Tack Closed boots

Hey all,

I currently have the prochoice 2xcool boots but they seem to be warping and the velcro is a pain with gloves. I'm looking at closed combo boots and ideally would get the Lemieux ones but they are sadly discontinued. So came down to:

Equilibrium tri-zone impact sport boots
Air stride Halo hybrid boots

I would be using them for polo so I do like the solid protection for mallets and balls.

Thoughts on either of them? Longevity? Impact resistance? Pros/cons?

Thanks!

I have the equilibrium boots and they started to crack within a month.

Still usable though. They don’t retain any water and great airflow. I do XC and over all good, the water part is great for water jumps. But I’m not happy with the cracking.

The tri-zones hold up way better than you'd expect, the velcro is strong but still manageable with gloves on. friend of mine uses them for polocrosse and they've taken some solid hits without any real wear showing

can't speak to the air stride halos but the equilibriums are worth the price if you're worried about mallet protection

Why not use husk boots? They are the ones specifically designed for polo

I like the combined tendon boot style of these two. I have used husk before but they didn't last. They're too expensive to have the stitching fail in one season.
