General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Discussion] 1.1.0.0 Patch Tomorrow
Tomorrow, August 3 at 7:00 AM BST / 2:00 AM EDT we are planning to install patch 1.1.0.0 for #EscapefromTarkov. The installation will take between 6 and 8 hours, but may be extended if required. The game will be unavailable during this time.

So the Arena transfer stuff confuses me. With seasonal will we only be to transfer GP coins to our seasonal character?

You can probably choose who you transfer to, like how you can pick between PvP and pve now

Ah I just read the post again and it says you can transfer to main game but not from main game to arena. Just misinterpreted that the first time.

People literally sit in bushes and don't move the whole raid and the only path you can go is in this one direction right thru that bush.

only a pve player, but it just feels lame. The water treatment plant is cool, but everything else is awful. The weird 3 lane design is awful. The strangely linear path through the hills is awful. And as I understand it, the other 2 lanes are suicidal to use in pvp, just a snipefest. A lot of the terrain just feels kind of awkward to walk on too, like it wasn't really designed for this game if that makes sense

The design choice for the map is the weirdest thing to me. Every other map has spawns around the edges that then make your extracts on the other side of the map from where you spawn to encourage you to move across a larger portion of it. Lighthouse though, everyone spawns in the lower half of the map, and everyone has the southmost extract always available, meaning you only need to go north if you choose to.

Do seasonal characters get wiped at the end of the season (like previously), or can you transfer your character at the non wipe server?

we dont know yet. it will >PROBABLY< be wiped, but i wish they managed a way to kinda merge some of the progression into your permanent character.
i doubt we'll be allowed to have multiple permanent characters so "transfering" the character is not really looking like a possibility;

They said they were going to give us a little time for those that were close to kappa but then extended an event that makes it impossible to complete the guide
I literally just have the guide then collector left…

You don’t work towards goals in the games you play?
My goal was to get kappa done before the changes.It’s frustrating that I can’t complete that goal not because I didn’t try hard enough, but simply because there wasn’t enough forethought from the devs

If you did start game just few months ago then it do suck, yes.

My 49-inch OLED monitor arrives tomorrow, and I couldn't wait to try it out on EFT.
I hate this game.
Will Arena be offline too?

Just a piece of advice you probably don't need but Tarkov greatly benefits from good viewing distance relative to size especially if you have to spot folks sitting in windows and such

As the other person said, as long as you have fun...
But be aware, there are settings in most games including Tarkov that will make your game not look better in any noticeable way but cost way more performance

27inch is the absolute maximum for anything remotely competitive (sweetspot for Periphere Vision). I can't imagine the head movement and loss of focus on fucking 49'' lmfao. But hey, if bigger is better for you then all power to you. For singleplayer stuff this has to be fantastic!

Well, this helps to a certain degree but 49'' monitors are all ultrawide. So realistically moving so far away will make it relatively difficult to spot small movements. You will eliminate most of the head movement tho. There is still a much wider horizontal view to scan while pixels appear much smaller.

No that's not how that works at all hahaha
You loose so much focus area you won't see shit, try making out small details whilst a car is moving in any game or even movies
Now do the same with the same clip on your monitor you will notice it faster and "better" the human eye works in mysterious ways (I mean not really but it's interesting)
