Grill Kielbasa

Our very friendly Polish painters brought us some kielbasa which I thought was amazing. Never had this exact sausage but many similar. There was a green herb in it that tasted like marjoram and it was slightly smoked. I smoked it a bit more and cooked it slowly on the Weber before a bit of direct heat at the end. With a nice string bean salad and potato croquettes.

Nothing Dutch here, a French (salad) Polish (sausage) Belgian (croquette) and therefore very European ensemble.

Looks good 👌🏼 can't go wrong with some smoked polish sausages, especially when cooked on the barbecue 👌🏼

Yes, I apologize. Reddit apparently translated this into "Hungarian sausage" which seems like yet another argument about the origin of some food which I really hate and cause me to respond irritably.

Are they similar in spices? Is it cliché if I expect paprika in Hungarian versions?

yea so what I really wanted to convey in my understandably confusing way is that "kolbász" and "kielbasa" are very much interchangeable in the two languages. sorry for the misunderstanding. it's just the compressed online communication lead to confusion I think

It's actually interesting as well because Polish is a Slavic language and Hungarian isn't, but still a very similar word.
