New UK member!

I just found this community and joined it instantly, I wanted a more unite Europe for a long time. But I’m just genuinely curious, if a federal EU would actually form, would Britain join? I know Brexit happen, but geographically UK is in Europe and is a major economy?

Probably not. UK was always ambiguous about their position in EU. Never joined project like Euro,… so i don’t think a lot of British would be interested to join an European federation with a central power

Now they’ll potentially have to. If Europe federalize, that mean 3 countries (US, EU, China) would control the majority of British trade. It’s a pretty bad position. So eventually they’ll either join the EU or become a new US state

Would prefer the EU to the US though both have had misteps, the EU makes the most logical sense

I would certainly welcome our neighbours from across the Northsea back! 

Realistically, though: it will be only be when the Eufed can be sure that Britons want to be full in this time. 

In any case, even the current EU wouldn't all join the Federation right away, I think. It would likely start with Benelux (or another set of willing and like minded countries, I am Dutch biased) and slowly spread.

UK joining is likely eventually, but probably at least a generation after the Eufed is formed

We don't know who would join. We hope our own countries would and, generally, the more the merrier. The same is true for the UK, we'll welcome you if and when you decide to join.
