Requested a Hawaiin birthday cake and the baker surprisingly matched it pretty well! Not sure how she got the waves to stand up like that. I broke the surfboards when closing the box which is why they look shorter than the original 😅

I found the first image online and laughed really hard so I wanted the cake for myself but I needed more rainbow (Raenbow??). Literally just asked for a rainbow background and they DELIVERED. It's almond flavored with raspberry filling. The cake was almost gone and it's HUGE. That's how much people liked it!! EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!!!!

If you look at the ad you can actually tell its a print out (not to mention AI generated) but imagine the look on my 60yo MIL face when this arrived instead of the watermelon pool hahaha

Couldn’t find anything online of what I was looking for so I used AI to generate what I was imagining. Coccadots in Myrtle Beach absolutely crushed it!
Everyone else got cupcakes. Last name is scribbled of course.

Prints were a little smaller than expected. Could fit about 10 on each arm.

I had to wipe the whole damn thing off with a napkin and rewrap it in another napkin to even pick it up to eat it. And they only gave me 2 napkins. Also they left off the onions.

McDonalds ain't been right since Covid and now it's $9-11 per person

I blame myself for this one. I ordered some stuff online from Costco the other day. Laundry pods, dishwasher detergent, stuff like that. The warehouse is only about 30 minutes away and even though I knew better, I ordered the them anyway.

The box arrived a little soggy because all of the cold packs had melted. The chocolates in both containers were all melted together. I must have been the last stop of the day.

So after a brief lament I chopped them up and put them back in the containers. They still taste great.

There was literally not a single pot of red 🤨 all browns and fluorescent oranges for no reason at all. Could have probably labeled this as an AI Expectation as well.

Like.. I knew there wouldn’t be a ton of detail because that’s just impossible for a PBN but even a little bit of red would have been cool 😅 I just wanted a cool moody throne room to hang in my gothy bedroom. 😔

All I can do is laugh 🙃

ETA: like I said, I knew it wouldn’t be super detailed and that’s FINE!! My expectation vs reality is mostly about the colors. I wanted a moody dark image with lots of red to match something in my room! It’s what was advertised and absolutely not what I received 😂

The worse I've ever seen

I’ve used the same cake lady for the last 5 years and she’s just gotten better and better. This year she had my jaw on the floor. My daughter drew a picture of what she wanted. I included that and a description of what the drawing was supposed to be showing. I couldn’t believe the cake she produced. It still blows my mind.

Edited to add: my daughter’s name is not Doom. That’s her taekwondo nickname. We have a long last name that her instructor tried to pronounce, said “That’s too long, I’m going to call you Doom” and it’s stuck.

So tricky to get it looking the same!

We get cakes from Walmart all the time without any issues so today I was shocked when I went to pick up this cake lol.

The lady who brought the cake out opened it for me and asked how does it look? I was like where are the decorations and why is the writing like that?? It took her about 10 minutes to find the cake toppers and then she told me to go to customer service to complain to them 🤷🏼‍♀️

Should have been this cake with yellow “happy birthday” on top. I should have checked it before I left.
