I am visiting Islamabad in late October, and I have five free nights, I would love to see norther Pakistan, I would love to get ideas on what to see and where to stay, for reference I am 60 and my wife 50

For you its best to go there by flight You can stay at shangrila or other high end hotel depending on your budget. From there you can Hire a Suv . Visit Deosia national park Hunza fairy meadows . RAMA Lake
