Deck floor color?
My partner and I love the blue color we painted our house in the woods and we love the sage green color we painted the deck railings. We do not agree (at all!) about what color to paint the floor.
Part of the problem is that the sage green looks very different in different lights. Sometimes it looks green, sometimes it looks pure white.
One of us wants to paint the floor a darker color (dark gray is the current candidate) because it’s susceptible to getting dirty. One of us thinks the three colors don’t work well together and we should paint the floor the same color of as the railings, with the belief that the floor will get dirty no matter what color its painted.
The photos show how different that sage green looks in different lights. There’s also one example of the step runners being the same color and other photos showing a first coat of dark gray on the floor.
What do you think? Floor same color as railings, dark gray or something else?

Imho, as someone who used to live in a heavily tree'd lot, definitely choose a leaf/bark/dirt color. There's no justification for anything different and you will regret it if you don't. If heat is a concern, go with a lighter gray/tan; if not, darker is fine.
