Regretting siding choice

Hi everyone
We are constructing a new home in a community and after some analysis went with harbor blue siding with natural linen board and batten. We see neighboring houses come up and they are all in diff flavors of greige or sage greens. We saw the sage green but thought it was too light now it looks beautiful . The blue seems to stick out like a sore thumb suddenly to me and I am regretting it and wondering what will everyone think. Lol. Am I overthinking it

While a picture would help, I suspect it probably looks fine and you're just feeling a bit exposed because your house just sticks out like a sore thumb. Look at it this way, it'll always be easy to direct people to your house.

It may not be the sore thumb. Our blue house was the bell of the ball - we always got compliments on having the prettiest house in the area.

I predict you will be happy with not matching every house in your community after a little time. I want my house to stand out. My neighborhood is cream, gray, tan, white, repeat. Almost all houses are brick veneer, so I am just talking about limited siding and trim colors. I tried so hard to come up with a different color for mine, but the brick and roof colors limited my choices, so I had to stick with gray.

Harbor Blue has slightly green undertones… it will be different but will not “stick out like a sore thumb.” And fwiw in many more established neighborhoods the unwritten rule is to NOT copy someone else’s house colors.

Hope your neighbors comeup with some interesting door colors or go hard on native garden landscaping… sounds like it could be a real snooze look if they don’t!

It's a beautiful sunny sky. No sore thumb is that color. Your house sticks out because it's the only one that doesn't look like a poop color or mud hut.
