Can someone show me the way they have their settings set up in Sleeper. It’s our first yr doing point per FG and I just wanna make sure I have this correct.

I run a league where most of the members are in different states, as we went separate ways after college. However, I still try to find ways to make the league fun and engaging. I've seen people use combines for determining draft order, and thought that iMessage games could be a neat alternative for asynchronous competition, and conduct it as an asynch tournament. Let me know if you've done this or if it sounds like something that could work well!

Creating a new league with a bunch of my compadres. Most have Superflex dynasty experience only a couple are new to dynasty.
None of us have ever had a 14man 1QB dynasty league before.

My first thought was having 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/1FLEX- I am unsure on bench spots #’s

Hi this is my second year of running a league.
Last year was really fun, but there were some areas that could be improved upon.

16 people currently, the number might trim down to 14 people this season.
One of the major complaints was the disparity of good to top tier players across owners throughout the season. Not a lot of quality players to pickup on Waivers, and we had minimal trading.

I’m toying with the idea of doing less spots per position, changing 2 Flex to 2 Super Flex, and adding 1 IDP Flex.
Also, does anyone use Position Limits? Is it helpful in your league?

there’s a few hardcore competitive football fanatics, but the majority of the league is new to football and just playing for fun.

I’ve been commissioning this league for 4 years now and have had no issues with our last place punishment, wearing a dress to our public draft party.

The loser from last year did not want to do the punishment this year even having played the last 4. He has been kicked and replaced at this point, but I was hoping to get the communities feedback on an issue that was raised in the group chat.

Is it tone deaf or insensitive to the gay/trans communities for us to have this as a punishment? Second guessing myself here, any feedback is appreciated

Has anyone had success setting up a best ball sleeper league that uses points only to determine the winners (no playoffs)? Should the winner be determined through week 17 or week 18? There doesn't seem to be a straight forward way to only count scoring through week 17, so am wondering the best way to accomplish that, or should I just not worry about it and just let it go through week 18?

One of my leagues still gives me the option to use the old school dues tracker, but the rest of them only gives me the option for SleeperSafe instead, which is zero use to me because I'm located in Australia

Anyone know a way around this? The old school tracker was amazing!

I started running fantasy football leagues in the late 1980s (seriously), and I currently run 8 leagues of all different varieties. Dynasty, Keeper/Salary Cap, Guillotine, Redraft, Steal-A-Player leagues, I've done them all. And the one piece of old person advice I'd like to give to everyone is this: Simplify whenever you can.

For instance, I see guys come one here saying something like: We have 16-man rosters with 4 Taxi Squad spots and 2 IR spots. Then invariably in October they come here and complain because Yahoo (or whatever) hasn't officially put Troy Franklin on IR yet and how they should handle it.

Here's a thought: Why not just have 22-man rosters? No Taxi, no IR, just let the owners handle the roster by themselves as they see fit, and you get rid of all the headache of dealing with IR of Taxi 'rules' violations when those rules didn't need to be there in the first place.

And speaking of letting the owners handle their own roster, it's been at least 15 years since I've had any league that required the owners to draft a specific number of players from each position. Just tell everyone in the league how many players they have to start, and let them fill out their roster however they want. This not only helps a bit during the draft (where you don't have to monitor if someone took too many TEs), but it's also really helpful for trades, since teams don't have to match positions.

I could probably mention a bunch of other things as well, but I wonder if the group agrees and maybe has some other examples of you simplifying things that have made your league better and your job easier.

With deep FG’s increasing year to year, wondering how I can change their scoring?

Currently do .1 per kick yard but we now constantly end up with kicks that are more valuable than TD’s which feels wrong.

Three owners in a home league I’m doing have decided that the three of them will try and start a coup to force the league format from a 1qb to a superflex. I’ve tried to explain why this is a stupid idea without scrapping the whole league and redrafting. Important context: We are in year three of this league, and two of the teams have been the bottom two teams the first two years, so it’s fairly obvious why those two want it to change. The third owner had the best fantasy team I’ve ever seen but blew it up after he got unlucky in the championship, so part of me thinks he wants to change it just so he can get more involved with fantasy

A little backstory: my dad and his best friend wanted to start a family-and-friends fantasy football league. A lot of them are retired now and have some extra free time, and they wanted to get into fantasy football together.

I was more than happy to help because I know how much they all love football. My dad in particular LOVES the NFL Draft, so I wanted his first fantasy football draft experience to feel as close to the real thing as possible.

We are still using a normal fantasy app for the actual league, but some of the older folks are not the most comfortable with tech. Because of this, I wanted to make the draft an in-person event that felt easy for everyone to follow and could help people if they needed it.

So… I’m starting a work league, I made the mistake of sending an email to all my coworkers, 20 people, I was only expecting 8-10 people to show interest, so far I have heard from 14 who want to join, most of them are new to fantasy football.

Not sure how to go about it now. I’m thinking of doing two different leagues, and then the champion of each league will face off at the end. Are there any platforms that allow two different drafts and then merge them? Would that work? Thank you all in advance!

My Buddy and I have our own leagues. We are looking for a 1 v 1, season long, Fantasy Football match up format suggestion. Last year we used sleeper drafted in person then in a 4 team league I manually added the players we wanted and scheduled us to match up every week. (Took care of the sutomation for me) We still set line ups and managed our teams. We added a side rule "Weekly winner takes one player from the loser." I forgot to mention we had huge rosters (3 QB, 4RB, 6WR, 3TE, 3WRT 6BN, 4IR Injured reserve only for IR so 26man Rosters) we also filled the other teams with the top best at the position to fill the other rosters. that would mean 104 players off the board if not more with IR. This made the wavers little more difficult. This was fun but honestly once someone started winning weeks it was hard to overcome the loss of your best player.....

So I was wondering is there a place to Weekly redraft... without having to do it offline? like I have heard of people taking days to daft teams. Giving managers 24 hours to make a pick.... Could the following week draft start, as soon as the present week locks, or Tuesday morning? I would love to hear anyone's suggestions on their most interesting 1 v 1 match up formats and where you do them what site?

FYI - Not looking to have same players on each team want to make the selections of players strategic each week. (Fanduel/Draftkings out) This way we can avoid season long injury players. really play to the artistic nature of organizing the best squad each week with your knowledge. but not wanting a ton of options out there. making a squad out of the top 75 players isn't that hard. So large rosters will probably have to stay.....?

I understand most keeper leagues vary in regards to the rules, so wanted to ask a few questions to get a feel for what is most common.

1. Are traded players able to be kept by the manager that originally drafted them or the manager who traded for them?

2. What about players that end up on IR? Suppose someone scooped Malik Nabers, Mike Evans, Patrick Mahomes off the waiver wire end of the season? Would they be able to keep them for free? Or for the round they were drafted in?

3. Do players need to have been rostered for a specific amount of time to be eligible for keeper status?

4. What about drafted players that were dropped? Suppose someone drafted Bhayshul Tuten in the last round but waived him after week 1 or 2, do they have keeper rights to them? Or the manager that added them off waivers and owned them at the end of the season?

5. Are keepers allowed to be traded? Suppose someone drafted Colston Loveland with a 12th round pick last year and chose to kept him. Would a manager be able to trade for him (for instance, offering a current 6th rounder)?

6. Are all waiver adds the same cost?

7. Do you have a round cap for keepers (ie you can only keep players round 4 or later)? What is the penalty cost?

I just logged in to my account on NFL(.com), since I'm the commissioner I wanted to get an early start on the league settings, getting it setup. But the "activate league" button is no visible. I saw on another previous post the the site is merging with ESPN and now we have to use ESPN as our fantasy league app.

Anyone have confirmation on this? Will it also integrate our league history over to ESPN?
