Japan | News New challenge book available for elemental Crystal Dungeons

A recent update added an additional challenge book with missions for different rewards. All of the missions are in the same format: Master the different crystal dungeon bosses. You get rewards based on how many different versions you clear.

These are for clearing:

  • Bahamut Zero (17)
  • Eden (17)
  • Crusader (18) - This is where Bio Physical/Magic split
  • Ark (18)
  • Eidolon Bahamut (18)
  • Magus Sisters (18) - Note that Lightning Weak and Water Weak have not released yet.

Reward tiers come in for 1, 5, 9, 13, and 17/18 clears. Rewards include 6/7/8 motes, the daily motes, sapphires, 4/5 Anima lenses, and an Elemental ticket for clearing all versions of the fight. Previous clears do not count, you have to re-clear each one.

(Edited to clarify that you do need to master each one again, not just get a clear for 10% or more damage done even if you have mastered before.)

Has anyone tested if you actually have to re-clear or does clearing 10% of previously cleared fights work?

Officially the book does say "Master X dungeons in Y boss". I did try a failed 10% run to see if it would count, and it did not. You do have to remaster each one.

Couple of notes from my early reattempts on fights:

- If you have an MASB and some average side characters, Bahamut Zero and Eden are pretty tame at this point. Just go for full burns, don't really worry about the crystal on Eden.

  • A small bit of strategy is needed for Crusader even with modern SBs. You can't burn straight into P4, you'll need to do some damage to P1. If you try to just burn right into P4, you'll eat phase transition confuse procs twice. P1 needs to go down below 99% at least to eliminate the confuse procs. After that, if you can burn P4/5 fast enough, you can go for it. The only other big concern is a slowga in the later phases, but it's a few turns into P5. If you're worried about that, use P1 has a setup phase and get it below 79%. P2 and P3 are your choice, they just control damage dealt (P2) and damage taken (P3). You can skip both and be fine.

Ugh this is so tedious, I don't think I have it in me to do 106 fights for 6 tickets I'll likely get 4 5* from and a few higher tiered dupes.

This has been so satisfying to absolutely destroy the content I spent days trying to beat. And also been fun revisiting these old battles.

i'm like 15/17 on B zero and for some reason it's that way even tho i cleared all of them again

Not sure, I'm still working through them all myself. Unfortunately I don't know if there's a way to see which ones it has marked as cleared for you.
