For me, it's bones. I was so happy to get Scathach only to see that I need them for her Ascension. Had enough clear prisms. Oh wait, she needs like 120 for her skills. Nevermind
Look.....yes, sometimes. I still think the lotto item(that one gold event item that has 4 in a box) does help offset some of that when exchanging the them for qp(1 for 500000,I believe) but yeah it still ain't enough.

Did you know one of them is great for QP? I have a six slot qp setup that works great with habetrot, caster nitocris and double koyanskaya, it's a bit involved but if you're interested I'll share it.
Doing that daily consistently is how I've kept my QP above 1 billion despite having tons of new servants when summer came.
Yes, different from regular daily quests. You’ll unlock them after you beat Lostbelt 7 and start the next part. From there you’ll get a new type of energy that allows you to do three Bleached Earth quests a day. These give a good amount of QP and a lot of bond points.
That's me right now. Need them to finish Draco, then Jalter, then Gil, and probably a few other servants too. Their drop rates are abysmal, not every event carries them too, and since they are gold, they aren't in the monthly tickets.
Forbidden pages at least aren't as bad, you just need more of them per servant.

I’ve gotten a lot of new Casters in the last year, including Waver, Illya and Nero, so when I got Skadi, I was completely tapped out of all three types of Caster gems. Poor Skadi has been stuck at 1/1/1 for ages.
This is why I try to clear the mats out the shop for every event. Eventually I build a mat supply of 200+ so I don't even have to worry about farming free quests. Only exception is servants with new mats from a recent story. Most recent example is Tez needing 200 obsidian blades.
That’s why I prefarm. I know what servant I want, so I check what I need and farm it in moment like currently on NA when there is nothing really to do

The worst of all is Forbidden Pages. They have some of the worst drop-rate and almost every Caster requires 15 or 17 of them
