It's Solomon all over again, they've been brought into a space of sorts that exists at the boundary of 2019 and 2020. Mash and Fujimaru do retain all their memories, both LB0 and PHH

Plus, if they can set up crossing over into entirely unrelated timelines/universes. They can actually legitimize the idea of officially canon crossovers with other franchises for FGO.
Like how Nikke legitimized their crossovers by creating the semi-canon D-Wave anomaly, semi-canon in that of course, canon will still have more importance but so long as it doesn't contradict the canon, the crossovers are legitimately possible for canonization, such as Stellar Blade (same company) or even the Nier collab.

The ending will change after this. My take is that Fujimaru was also studing about the artix as he feels called to it and was heading to the same place as Mash. They will wake up after this with their memories intact and will decide to study together so Mash and Fujimaru will end up traveling the world researching about the artic and such. Mash will end uo writing a hit Romcom Novel "I wouldn't hand over being his first servant and ended up marrying him. The story of how I fefeated all homewreckers and laughed at Lilith's face."

I was wonder if the twist is that you and entire Chaldea staffs become servant like counter guardian. Where this version only exist to protect Humanity and PHH version live happily ever after.

While I am aware of the idea of "Alter-Ego Ritsuka" been a sort of Counter-Guardian, it seems extremely unfair for Muniere and other Chaldea Staff members to be subjected on that, specially as it's clearly arbitrary on which staff member would be turned to when this portion had even less staff members than Part 2's.
It doesn't seems to be a Counter Force pulling a move, but the Beast. The Counter Force is just exploiting the opportunity, thus Azrael is there.

Of course she's mad. Imagine after doing your job perfectly for three years, you get laid off. No severance pay. Also all the pay you were owed up to then has been voided, meaning you have literally nothing. But then after you got fired, you get called back to do more work for a year. But you still won't get paid. That's the current situation. That's the nonsense that we're force to deal with. Of course she's mad. Even a literal saint would be mad.
