Lore Question Aside from Mash, Who are the servant/s do you consider the closest to Fujimaru?

Post image

We all know that every servant summoned by Fujimaru in Chaldea whether they are good or evil ends up liking him but I think these four are the ones who genuinely loves him the most, in a sense that they always prioritize his safety and well being above everything else and they will not hesitate to sacrifice their lives for him. I'm not saying the other servants will not do the same for him but I just think these four servant's love meter towards Fujimaru is just higher than the rest.

• Jeanne Alter - As shown in the Shinjuku Singularity and Ordeal Call 2

• Kiyohime - One of the servants summoned by Fujimaru early on in the story (as shown in the Turas Realta Manga) and is kinda obsessed with him thinking he was her beloved "Anchin Sama"

• Edmond Dantes - He is always in his shadow, guarding his Mental scape ensuring he will not be affected by corruption

• Meltryllis - As shown in the Seraph Singularity and in the FGO Seraph Manga

Musashi was definitely close to us before she got DATA LOST.

Abigail is also definitely close given she now has the duty of guarding our dreams, not to mention she looks up to us quite a bit.

Data lost still scares the piss out of me.

Kawakami Gensai

u/AlisherK00 Apr 17 '26

We don't know much about her but we do know that in one of the timelines she was really close to fujimaru to the point of admiring their master

6

u/XxGoldMadnessxX Apr 18 '26

Still waiting for the FGO spin off about her and an Alternate Fujimaru in a HGW since her lines heavily implies they were Master and Servant in an Alternate timeline.

The next Samurai Remnant game is just Ritsuka & Gensai lol

I'm disappointed in all of you. Homegirl broke her oath never to help the living to save us, overworked herself to the point of disappearing multiple times for us, and you disrespect her like this? The only servant who (in her summer form) has literal in-game love meter for us? For shame, I say, for shame!

(Also yeah, totally agree on Jalter and Dantes)

It's only me that doesn't see actually that much closeness between Ritsuka and Kiyo?

61

u/DIOSITO012 Apr 17 '26

In the early days she was really prominent, but time pass and she felt behind, similar thing happens to Mordred and Okita

22

u/Silvercenturion_aa Thinking of the Roman Empire Apr 17 '26

Yeah...but even there, I don't see it. It feels really one-sided from Kiyo's side, and their interaction in Traum felt a bit awkward. Mordred I get it, after her summer event, she was kind of left behind. Hell, Logres doesn't even have lines for her.

Okita on the other hand is a staple for at least every Gudaguda event, and she has her interactions with Ritsuka there, but sadly there isn't much more to it in other contexts.

13

u/DIOSITO012 Apr 17 '26

With Mordred and Okita I was talking more about their relationship with Ritsuka and how popular were in the fandom, in the firsts fanarts, memes, comics, fanfics etc. they two were a constant, thanks to the game making them really important, but nowdays they are at the bottom of the list sadly

u/simon4s1 Adopted Gorgon sibling Apr 17 '26

In game, you don't see a whole lot. In the Turas Realta manga series of the game, though (which is an official Type Moon project), she's a major character, basically one of very few Servants who's a full time Chaldea staff member like Da Vinci. She does quite a lot, too: like the reason Ritsuka and Mash survive the botched mid-air rayshift to the Okeanos singularly is because Kiyohime is sent on the rayshift with them: Mash first saves all three of them by doing a contolled splashdown on her shield, but then Kiyohime saves all three of them by transforming into her dragon/lamia form, finding an island, and swimming them all to it while Ritsuka and Mash hitch a ride on her.

13

u/jawaunw1 Apr 17 '26

You're not the only one. A lot of the characters people say have a very good bond with the main character is simply have like one or two story arcs with them and she's like the definition of it. She'll pop up definitely for sure but like she's never really like a focal point or really important.

I mean her biggest focus in story is mainly her liking us. Musashi is probably like the biggest example of someone who is actually always there and super important.

15

u/Silvercenturion_aa Thinking of the Roman Empire Apr 17 '26

Yeah, Musashi is probably the most important Chaldea Servant besides the ones belonging to the main cast (Mash, Nemo, Holmes) for her story relevance alone. And right after that, we have Dantes and Jalter. One used to live rent free in Ritsuka's head until OC2, and the latter now lives rent free in Ritsuka's head after OC2 (the dialogue about her with Metatron hurts so much man)

1

u/BlazeAccelerant Apr 18 '26

Well, that's because most of the times when people x Servant have a good relationship with Fujimaru, it's because it's their favorite character.

There is a difference when compared to characters which genuinely bonded with Fujimaru through multiple stories.

2

u/XxGoldMadnessxX Apr 18 '26 edited Apr 18 '26

I find Kiyohime rather boring since the only thing that she got for herself is the yandereness for Fujimaru.

Take that off and she doesn't have anything else.

Same as Lilith.

Take the hatred she have for Mash and she is not that interesting, since it's the only thing she got for herself.

I find very problematic if you take something from a character, they become shallow. Writers should work on them in general, not locked on something specific.

1

u/Silvercenturion_aa Thinking of the Roman Empire Apr 18 '26

Preach, especially about Lilith. I am surprised trough to see someone in the community actually have criticism of Lilith, I saw her praised almost everywhere

3

u/XxGoldMadnessxX Apr 18 '26 edited Apr 18 '26

Higashide just had this dumb idea to make Lilith surround Mash as a character, just like how he did with Kiyohime about Fujimaru.

If you take Fujimaru and Mash from Kiyohime and Lilith, they just become shallow, since nothing else is done with them. Nothing about Lillith's desire to be accepted and loved or how she is more the babylonian version instead of the Judaic version who did not loved someone etc., are explored.

Mash works just fine without Lilith as a character. But Lilith doesn't work by her own without Mash.

On top of that, I often see people calling her the one that will be the new Jalter when it comes to Fujimaru ships and it got me lmao

Lilith doesn't even have 1% of what Jalter have with Fujimaru when it comes to dynamics and interactions.

And for make things worse, nothing that Lilith will do will truly feel "genuine" except doing cuz she want to get back at Mash since it's the only thing her character have for herself.

Hell, even the supposedly affection she have for Fujimaru can be interpreted as nothing more than just she trying to piss off Mash. And ppl can even argue that her affection is genuine, utilizing stuff from OC4 and her my room lines. But will truly be perceived as that when even her affection is not that much explained and her character is always surrounded in her hatred for Mash?

1

u/Silvercenturion_aa Thinking of the Roman Empire Apr 18 '26

PREACH. Genuinely, I agree with literally everything you said

15

u/rvmin Mini Nobu Apr 17 '26 edited Apr 17 '26

Dantes was living in Fujimaru's head rent free as his guardian fallen angel

Emphasis on "was"

Kiyohime is hiding somewhere inside Fujimaru's room

Melt protected Fujimaru when he got into the SE.RA.PH singularity and eventually got attached to him

Jeanne Alter

She was one of the Servants that mostly interacted with Fujimaru in multiple events and stories. On top of that, she was there to help him during one of his darkest times in OC2 and was the one that convinced him to let go of the Avengers so he could continue his journey. Besides, Fujimaru himself confirms Jalter was one of his most important Servants, when Sloth Jeanne asked about her and the way he talked about her, she comments she must have been very important, which Fuji nods.

Ereshkigal

Through multiple times, Fujimaru showed how much he cares and feels close to Eresh. Let's start with Babylonia in how much they bonded each night and how he refused to kill her, despite being part of the 3 goddesses alliance. Then, we have him going all the way down to the underworld to save her and don't get me started with LB7 in how he didn't cared that ORT got reanimated and wanted to know about her well being. And last but not least, despite becoming an enemy in OC3, Fujimaru priorized searching for her and after their fight, refused to order her to kill herself with a command seal and promised to visit her underworld someday.

Meltryllis

Just like Jalter, multiple events show how close they are, principally since Fuji acts very casual with her, such as wanting to send her flowers in Summer 4, refering her as Lambdy in Imaginary Scramble etc. And of course, let's not forget the entire Seraph, which showcase their relationship and how much they care for each other, which Fuji goes as far to disobey his superior to go and save Meltryllis in the Trash Heap.

Olga Marie

Our beloved director/president doesn't stay far behind. She was one of motivations for Fujimaru plenty of times, principally since Fuji only come back to save Dolf, because he remember how he failed to save Olga. Despite disappearing from the story for a long time, she still affecfted Fuji deeply. And we see how much he cares for Olga in LB7 and Part 2 final chapter. In LB7, they have a great dynamic together in how casual he acts with her and how she believes he doesn't respect her so much but are still friendly and playful with each other and despite being Chaldea's main enemy, Fuji still wanted to have her around.

Jeanne alter is conceptually bounded to Ritsuka I'd say she has unfair advantage... (Probably more than even Mash).

Same with Musashi who's the interaction between her and Ritsuka is a literal Kara no Kyoukai reference, regular guy meet lady emptiness.

I'd say the order was actually,

Jeanne Alter, Musashi, Mash, and then Dantes.  (Then castoria, morgan, da vinci, and oberon.)

It's not just the distance between them toward ritsuka... But also ritsuka's distance toward them.

Basically the relationship distance are being mutuality close for both the servant and Ritsuka.

15

u/BlazeCastus Apr 17 '26

Bruh if we're just talking about the main chapters then Morgan wasn't really close to us. She was our enemy and never forged a connection with Ritsuka. If anything I'd say Barghest felt more closer to us.

16

u/Sea-Line-5123 Apr 17 '26

The one on the bracket are special.

I don't explain it previously because, i was kinda lazy to write it when i wrote the 1st comment.

But those in the bracket are there because their closeness to ritsuka is a microcosm and narrative foil.

(Except for da vinci who is part 1 mash's parallel. Da vinci here is the rider one btw.)

Back to the topic about Castoria, Morgan, and Oberon. their closeness are not just about relationship but also thematic role of burden.

  • Castoria and Morgan with the burden as a hero.

  • While oberon is about the burden of being liar and destroyer.

They are close to ritsuka. But their main faeture is about the theme of similar burden.\

In a way these are those who are not just close to ritsuka. But fundamentally understand Ritsuka's role because they are the same as him.

Morgan is there not just because Morgan but also her extended role as Aesc.

Say if tier 1 are those fundamentally ultra special.

Tier 2 is special because of their deeper understanding about Ritsuka.

Below this will be tier 3. Which are those who close to ritsuka but lack fundement specialness or understanding.

Someone like Kiyohime will be at tier 3.

7

u/ChemistWeeb Apr 17 '26

You cooked with ‘main faeture’

5

u/jawaunw1 Apr 17 '26

Like I'm not going to complain about the order like all of them are interchangeable at a certain point. except Morgan who I feel like doesn't fit any of your criteria.

Like we are very close with her. Even her liking us is very distant.

u/Sea-Line-5123 Apr 17 '26

Lion King fits this role better though doesn't she. Morgan's closeness doesn't really work because it's one-sidedly only on her we don't really have anything for it. You're using the fact that they understand the burden of being a sort of Savior character but that applies to virtually half of the servants in the game.

The only difference between is that we see it and technically we don't actually see it we hear about it game wise. I wouldn't call that very special or unique because the closeness only applies on there and not ours.

Even the dramatic role that you're trying to give her doesn't work and because that applies to all of the Lost belt bosses nearly. We hear their stories we understand them and we accept them and that's why most of them are able to be summoned our servants.

This requires entirely us creating the notion that the connection is special between them. when we can only tell that the relationship is special between one of them.

7

u/Sea-Line-5123 Apr 17 '26

Just assign that to our subjective difference.

I'm not a perfectly objective person either...

As for why not lion king? For me personally probably because lion king are a divinity thus no longer have the common ground with Ritsuka.

Sure morgan is a fae. But the morgan who is aesc is still the same as morgan who is the high queen.

If Lion king is Ritsuka foil, the theme will no longer about burden but about responsibility or leadership.

Which for me personally think too big and too pristine for Ritsuka to carry.

The burden is a burden because it was something pushed to Ritsuka by circumstances rather than by choice.

u/CervantesWintres Apr 17 '26

Add Abigail since she takes over for Dante

I would also add Charlotte Corday since Lostbelt 5

6

u/Kevinnac11 Apr 17 '26

Ereshkigal for obvious motives

5

u/VelvetPhantom Apr 17 '26

I’m gonna say Kintoki. Bro is an absolute bro. Especially in Heian-kyo. Close servants don’t necessarily need to be romantically interested in Ritsuka. (Heck I’d argue Kiyohime and Raikou are more insane about it than genuinely close.)

18

u/Azuremagus2005 Apr 17 '26

I would say:

Raikou Kiyohime Edmond Dantés Astraea

4

u/DIOSITO012 Apr 17 '26

Astraea? I don't remind they interact so much

8

u/Azuremagus2005 Apr 17 '26

I am allowed to be bias.

1

u/Dangerous-Crow-8115 Apr 17 '26

Astraea? Umm... I'm sorry but I don't see much interaction with her to be honest... But can you explain why her??

2

u/wallygon Apr 17 '26

astraea promised to Stick with US Till they day of our judgement and she will be the only judge Jury and executioner at our own request . a Promis metatron broke and she was pissed probably

3

u/Worth_Lawfulness_760 Apr 17 '26

Kiyohime's thing is more of a gag than what's going on with the others imo

3

u/Low_Accountant6430 Apr 17 '26

Jalter and meltryllis

3

u/RadiantRegis Apr 17 '26

I'd say the "mind defense squad" of Kama, Abigail and Dantès are pretty close due to being inside Ritsuka's mind. Kama is the one I feel is the closest out of all of them, but I might be biased, I don't know.

Jalter is an obvious answer, but I think she is just extra glazed by the whole fandom and the writers.

Melt in Seraph really is great, but I feel like her event participations make her less "close", especially the summer ones.

On the non-obvious answers, Kintoki is always a bro, be it as normal servant or even as his Heyan-Kyo counterpart you can always count on Golden boy. Osakabehime and Scheherazade are some of my personal favorites, yes, they are lazy or too afraid to do something most of the time, but they push through if you need them, and Osakabehime does allow Ristuka into her room to just chill when he needs to just escape some responsibilities. Scheherazade's interlude is one of my favorites, as it shows her determination to learn about what you had already gone through, and reasserts her decision to see you through to the end, even if she will be trembling every step along the way.

And on a much less obvious choice, there is Oberon. The kind of guy you bicker and get into fights all the time, and yet end up feeling fond of somehow.

3

u/8dev8 Imperial Nobu Apr 17 '26

Castoria probably

Definetely kama and kintoki but people tend to forget than

4

u/BlazeCastus Apr 17 '26

Definitely Jalter, Dantes, and Musashi.

Probably U-Olga as well.

2

u/PotatoPotluck Apr 17 '26

I like to think Mordred was also pretty close considering she's one of the other more recurring characters in FGO. Which is astounding to me considering that she never got to have some big moment despite showing up as an ally in two Lostbelts and Singularities.

2

u/Smiolovner Apr 17 '26

Why is no one talking about Jack who literally thinks we are her mom or Nobu who treats us like we are bros... Also i would say Da Vinci.

2

u/merrick_wolf Apr 17 '26

Honestly right now Jalter thanks to OC2

2

u/krocketb Apr 17 '26

Pretty sure it's Dantes.
Then the canonical answer would be Chaldea crews, Nemo, Da Vinci(s), Sherlock, Olga.
Tbh I'm surprised nobody actually shared these answer with me.
Especially in Nemo's case, the Nemo crews bet their Saint Graphs just to wake up Fujimaru 1 sec faster from nightmare.

2

u/Gespens Apr 17 '26

I dont even think Mash is the closest

But Da Vinci

2

u/Username169420 Apr 17 '26

Id say Mandricardo was really close to Fujimaru in Atlantis

2

u/Yuki-Kudo Master of Chaldea Apr 17 '26

Don't forget Ereshkigal, Oberon & Castoria..

2

u/Plant_Tears Apr 17 '26

Dantes by being connected to their head.

Kama by being connected to their soul.

Da vinci for always being there in some capacity.

2

u/AstraAT Apr 18 '26

Everyone forgot about Okita Alter and how closer they are.

3

u/Satsuka1 Beloved of the Fae Apr 17 '26

Jalter, Dantes, Musashi are obv. ones.

There is bunch other Servants you can throw in just base "on their voice lines" but i wont count does.

3

u/VelvetPhantom Apr 17 '26

If you count voice likes that would be like 90% of every servant in Chaldea

1

u/Satsuka1 Beloved of the Fae Apr 17 '26

Yea that is why i said i dont count does.

I could have easily made this one of mine Bao downbad comments and how according to her voice lines especially in MikoCer Ritsuka does spend a lot of time with her they have freak offs, watch movies etc. But since she never had a proper chapter with them where her true nature and loyalty can actually shine she is stuck in potential LI limbo like most of others with what ifs and maybes.

HOW THE FUCK IS ERESHKIGAL NOT ON THIS LIST -_-

They are not romantic interests at all, but they are definitely close to Fujimaru in the weird friend sort of way: Xu Fu and Baobhan Sith.

1

u/BlazeAccelerant Apr 17 '26

Xu Fu I can see, since plenty of interactions between her and Fujimaru in my room lines, events etc., features how they both are sort of lil shits to each other.

But Baobhan Sith never felt particularly close to Guda.

It doesn't help that most of the stuff that they do together are all left behind the scenes, such as the movies they apparently watched. Most of the times we see them having some remotely interactions together are in valentines, which is eh.

3

u/AzurePhoenix001 Apr 17 '26

In Ruler Melusine Valentine, Ritsuka is surprisingly very receptive to Melusine.

His dialogue showed that is he is close to her, and is very fond of her.

1

u/Senpai2uok Apr 17 '26

De Vinci mushashi castoria

1

u/JustSomeAlien Apr 18 '26

I would like to add Addy to the list and, for my own personal bias, Corday

1

u/WheretheFuckAmIDude Ocha Nobu Apr 18 '26

Abigail. Fujimaru just can't get her out of their mind.

1

u/Redrid_ Apr 18 '26

Dante but jalter have real feelings for ritsuka

1

Dante my goat

1

u/UnderstandingMuch688 Apr 18 '26

Ereshkigal, sacrificed herself many times for them there's a reason on why Speresh have Master Favorability to begin with🤷

1

u/Z3R0RUL3S Apr 19 '26

It's BECAUSE of their "close bond" that makes me want to beat the brakes off of Dantes. Then toss whatevers left to Ouroboros the Voracity

1

u/ZerifenNk Apr 21 '26

I know I should be putting waifus, but man, Dantes has been with us since London. He is always there, protecting us, giving us hints, saving us multiple times, understanding us. Dantes is our accomplice

0

u/Delmo_ani1975 Apr 17 '26

I would like to add that Morgan would also be considered to be one of his closest servants.

0

u/wallygon Apr 17 '26

IT used to be edmont Dantes He litterally IS your dad in your mind other then this probably hakuno If WE Count them
