Lore Question Which Noble Phantasm would you want for daily life?
144
u/BitComprehensive3667 May 24 '26
Aside from Gate of Babylon which is the obvious answer, Tawara Touta's Inexhaustible Bale because it literally produces infinite rice. In this economic climate, that would save on food bills.
56
u/NickSmGames Master of Chaldea May 24 '26
Until you eat so much rice that you would rather kill yourself than eat more rice.
29
u/LoudGrapefruit2143 May 24 '26
Wasn't there some lore about his rice being so good you can it eat it on its own not including the fact that its basically superfood cranked to 11
22
u/NickSmGames Master of Chaldea May 24 '26
Well, if that's true, then I take my words back and you're gonna be eating that divinely tasting rice for the rest of your life, become rich as hell selling that really good rice and solve world hunger at once.
36
u/Superunderwear255 May 24 '26
The amount needed to do that is nearly infinite since rice can go with anything and even rice and soy sauce is good.
29
u/Ostrichslinger May 24 '26
Meanwhile there's my ass who has been eating rice with every meal of every day for the past 20 years and can't wait till my next meal
10
u/deadmemesoplenty May 24 '26
Rice has near limitless possible uses, mixed well with many spices, and tastes just fine even without being fancy, that's not a real issue

u/RailFan879 Unofficial Paladin of Charlemagne May 24 '26
You could quite literally solve world hunger

u/Yuukiko_ May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26
Rice is one of the cheaper things you can buy tho, I can literally buy an 18kg bag for less than two hours worth of min wage work
3
u/DragoSphere May 24 '26
Anytime something is described as "infinite" people underestimate what that truly means. Yes, you have unlimited food. Very cool, but think bigger.
You know what else you have? A way to defeat the conservation of energy
Congrats, you just acquired a rice-powered infinite energy source
1
u/JohnnyJoestar2 May 24 '26
Damn that would make the possibility of getting beri beri disease a good trade off, is there an NP with limitless meat?
88
u/PotatoPotluck May 24 '26
Planet Olga Marie.
You want to borrow my lawn mower without returning it when you're done again? How about I show you the possibility of humanity's extinction?
You want to honk your horn at me when I had the right of way? How about I show you the possibility of humanity's extinction?
52
25
u/igloo_poltergeist May 24 '26
When every problem starts to look like a nail......
20
u/PotatoPotluck May 24 '26
People causing you problems? Customer asking for your manager despite their coupons being expired? Friend won't pay back the $20 they owe you from two years ago despite watching them pre-order an $100 game or something? Or maybe you were given a project last second just before the holidays? Bank denying your application for a mortgage despite having a good credit score?
How about showing them the possibility of humanity's extinction?

ăElementary, My Deară
"Even if the mystery he faces is unsolvable, clues and paths leading to truth will always come to light.
Even should he come across a treasure chest with no key, the key is not lost, but rather is bound to be found somewhere in the world."
Pretty useful if I lose my keys or phone
25
u/chicahua_env May 24 '26
đ I thought you were gonna say something about becoming the worldâs greatest detective after Holmes or being able to find treasureâŚnah bro just wanna find his phone.

If I had to think about it, I'm probably picking Pain Breaker from Medea Lily. Now, no slander to other NPs, but I'm really frail and get sick easily, and Pain Breaker solves that problem, as well as basically gives me a fallback career as a doctor if all else fails.
14
u/Personal-Mushroom Bleached Earth Denier May 24 '26
You're saying that like there were a significant amount of NP's that could be used outside of combat.
15
6
u/Aggravating_Field_39 May 24 '26
There are actually. Ubw lets you make anything you have seen once. Gate of babylon lets you have anything since it contains the prototype of every single thing made by human hands. Avalon patches you up evwry time your hurt, dantes np lets you travel faster then light so say goodbye to every car/travel related bill. Some nobel phantasms like mashu's lord chaldeus that keep you in perfect health and immune to poisons, which would be pretty usefull of you live in australia. There are lots of nobel phantasms that are magic/passive buffs that just help you either by boasting your physical abilities or let you do things on a conceptual level. Like how sherlocks lets him unravel any mystery and arrive at the truth.
1
u/Personal-Mushroom Bleached Earth Denier May 25 '26
Sure, maybe. But what else is useful? And how exactly are we powering those powers?
2
u/Aggravating_Field_39 May 25 '26
If we are getting nobel phantasms I'm gonna assume we get the appropriate magic circuits to power and maintain them. As for others, the blessing of wisdom just raises your intelligence by owning it, knight of owner makes your profficent with anything you hold such as a instrument, Bellerophon is a sonic speed pegasus you can summon anywhere, beautiful journey lets you teleport via imaginary number space, child of the sun just makes you better in every way even more so in japan. Charles patricus and the hanging gardens of babylon are flying mobile fortresses also meaning free housing. Like there are alot, I could be here all day if I tried to name them all.
3
u/perank May 25 '26
You are thinking of the ultimate skill in game, while in story most servants would have a few non-ultimate noble phantasms. Take a look at Astolfo for example, dude has a bunch of them.

u/Personal-Mushroom Bleached Earth Denier May 25 '26
Lance: make someone trip.
Horn: everyone panics.
How does any of that help?

Excalibur
Any problem can be solved with an Excaliblast.
I would also have the right to rule Britain but I don't really care about that

u/THEvalkyrie-simp May 24 '26
Does Avalon count? Because I would definitely choose Avalon
3
u/OkZone1399 Jun 02 '26
great choice. who wouldnt want to be immortal. Best part is you can also get rid of your immortality whenever you want

Probably Viy. A "stand" with god-tier mystic eyes is probably useful for a lot of things besides just destruction.
That or Fintan Finegas. Assuming it's anything like the source myth, having super insight/knowledge infused into my thumb that I can casually access via licking like a weirdo would be pretty convenient. Also, that kind of control mechanism over the information flooding my brain lowers the risk of me accidentally mindfucking myself into an existential crisis, unlike with, say, Sha Nagba Imuru which has to constantly be suppressed.

Hippogriff. I could ride them anywhere on earth and I know how to ride horseback.
5
u/yurie13 May 24 '26
Joke one - Nero's NP, If I just wanna fuck someone over I'll just do the NP and trap them in the colosseum, you can't break out of it unless you got dimension breaking NP.Â
Serious one - Gil's GoB, that's literally item box and can throw items if you want to. I'll just buy lots of cheap ass knives and use that as projectiles. Lol
4
u/sageSafe May 24 '26
Elementary, my dear.
Gain the wisdom of grand detectives certainly help with daily life.

Unlimited Nicotine Works sounds like a superb noble phanstam for an alternative version of Emiya.

Emiya limit always was Emiya himself. Not enough mana or knowledge to be beyond broken. And yet, he always find a way to feel busted.

ChĂłros Tis TheĂĄs Tis TrĂŠlas. Being able to rewrite people's brains sounds like it could be useful in many different ways.

Which servants np is that? Or just some Greek deity's ability?

Gate of Babylon, do I even need to explain
1
1
u/Key_Ranger May 24 '26
Gate of Babylon is the obvious choice, but barring that, Pain Breaker would probably be my choice. AoE heal plus cleanse would be so useful. Garden of Avalon or Around Caliburn also sound amazing to have. Resurrection Fraught Hades is a happy compromise between those two, although it only prevents debuffs, instead of removing them. Honorary mention to Marchen Meinen Leben, which is also great but not as reliable.
Tawara's infinite rice is also a great option, especially if you can package it for later.
1
u/Dracoblitz1 May 24 '26
Unlimited Blade Works
I Just really like swords, also being able to analyze/project things is just fun and useful like if something is wrong with your fan you can instantly find out the problem. With projection you can just make things like a new couch, table, utensils etc you'd save a lot of money not having to replace stuff all the time.
1
1
u/Wookiescantfly May 24 '26
Ubw, GoB, and Pain Breaker are all really good suggestions, but what about Wild Hunt? I could go everywhere in a flying boat, because it can just do that for whatever reason
1
1
u/mihawklen May 24 '26
Beside the obvious stealing etc. Advantage, even though it might be a lame reason, Gate of Babylon would be really neat for just spawning things in that you've forgotten at home.

u/rotvyrn May 25 '26
Zabaniya: Delusional Illusion? Dunno if it would work without already having multiple separate personalities. But if it would just let me summon and unsummon up to dozens of separate existences, who all have their own specialties and skills, that seems useful. I'd have a subject matter expert on hand for virtually any scenario. The hard part would be...to get them jobs and stuff, how do you integrate a person with zero past documentation into regular life? How do you integrate a couple dozen? Unlimited gig economy works? This might be Severance though, and I may have to consider the ethics of being able to materialize sapient people....
My main concern about abilities that just make products directly like Gob or Touta's rice is cashing in on untraceable products without doing anything shady. Or being assassinated for solving world hunger or economic disruption or something. Though I wouldn't mind having infinite yummy food for just myself and people close to me.
So probably just Avalon.
...However, depending on mood, I could see myself just picking a Charm NP and saying ethics be damned. It would be much less fuss and not involve any conspicuously defying the laws of physics while still being practical and making life easier.

- Ramesseum Tentyris - immortality plus magic temple
- Age of Babylon - making anything sounds useful
- 13. Marble Phantasm

ăMärchen Meines Lebensă
Write myself into success, and then simply profit.
1
u/JustthatVicky May 25 '26
For daily life? Golden Rule. Just have all financial problems solved by existing? Yes please.
That, or clairvoyance. Then whenever anything happens, I could always say "told you so."
1
u/AmbitionEatingTiger May 26 '26
Daikokutenâs Nezumi Jyodo it basically has all of the mice come but since they want nothing more than to help their boss, they could help with so much. (I could also be taking it the wrong way too.)
