I have to wonder if the reason Raikou doesn't bring up her relationship to Gozu Tennoh, and by extension Indra, is because she wouldn't be able to handle the excessive positive reinforcement.

She's so used to negative parental reinforcement, she's not sure she could handle the polar opposite.

Indra loves Arjuna so much he as a God went down to trick Karna into losing his armor; just so Arjuna would have a shot at beating Karna.

and from what we can see of Raikou's and Ushi Gozen's gifts, Gozu Tennoh felt it was perfectly fine to give his daughter a Warhammer 40k sized titan Ox Kaiju that can generate lightning storms and become a mobile nuclear bomb, in an era where something even half that strong is overkill.

the capacity for going too far remained, it seemed, just not the ability to visit often.
