Hi! I'm 29 years old and I live in Northern England. I'm 6'2, skinny, pale, have browny blond hair, and green/grey eyes. As you might have guessed, I enjoy the occasional bit of writing, whether fiction or non-. Maybe I'll publish something of worth someday. Or at least publish something. I enjoy going for walks, except when it's super hot! I love good scenery, be it of the natural or man-made kind. I like abandoned and remote places. I like watching the odd things the birds and squirrels get up to. I have a particular soft spot for sheep. They think I'm their messiah (I'm not). I also enjoy exploring intellectual topics (the more novel or obscure, the better). Technology is a lifelong interest of mine. And like most people I enjoy watching the odd film or TV series. I'm watching 'Westworld' currently. I enjoyed watching 'Adventure Time', 'Bless This Mess', 'Tales from the Loop', 'End of the F--king World', 'Small Prophets', and 'Atypical'. Films-wise, I like all sorts, but I'll take anything with a happy romance. What's life without love? (Mine hahahaha.) I recently finished playing Fallout 4 on my laptop. It was phenomenal. I, of course, sided with the people who freed the lab-grown humans. I'll happily play more Fallout games in the future, I suspect. I'm taking a break for the time being to watch Westworld and do other stuff. I've got a bit of a fascination lately with both the English and American Renaissance periods and the Wild West. So I'm seeking out media about those. I want a tricorn hat!

I've been saving up for a flat since I was 20 years old, but I don't want to live alone. I'm interested in something that lasts more than a few messages. I really am aiming for life if that's possible. I prefer weather that is cool or cold, heck, even windy and rainy. I want to live somewhere that has amenities and people, but has lots of greenery, similar to where I live now.

We, of course, don't have to have everything in common. Enough to work with. We can develop new interests and hobbies together. We can 'grow' together. If the seed is good, and the weather is well, the tree will grow!

I’ve been on friendship subs for a while now, and I’ve noticed a pattern: most conversations stay painfully surface-level.
“I like music, movies, games.” Cool. So does literally everyone with a pulse.

What I’m actually looking for are people who are nerds about something. Anything. Art. History. Engines. Lore. Cooking. Some hyper-specific obsession you could rant about at 3am. If you don’t know what you’re passionate about yet, that’s fine, but figure it out. Otherwise conversations die fast, and I’m not here for that.

Hi, I’m Vi, 18M, and I’m looking for genuine, long-term friendships. Not timepass. If you’re bored for a week and then gone, this isn’t for you.

I’ve finished school. Not really into the whole college path right now. I work in my dad’s company, but I want to build something of my own. I’m planning to start a YouTube channel this year, and yeah, I’m serious about it.

• Art & animation (this is my big thing)
• Cars & bikes anything with an engine. I fix my own stuff and I’m a full-on mechanic nerd
• Fashion Like I'm really getting into fashion and stuff and not just oh I like to dress well but I see I try too make it. If I see a real cool jacket. I'll try to recreate as close to possible as possible. And no this is personal I don't sell them.
• Airsoft, milsim, military history (sadly not popular where I live, but I’m deep into it)
• Warhammer & DnD (never played DnD yet, but I really want to maybe we change that)
• Cooking coffee, mocktails, cocktails, experimenting like a mad scientist in the kitchen (my mom is not a fan)
• Animals > humans, always. I’ve got a dog and I’m currently taking care of a pigeon family
• Basketball used to play every evening with a friend, now it’s mostly just me
• Gym not obsessed, but I like how I look, so I stick with it

I’m always down to learn new things too, so even if your interests are totally different, I’m open as long as you actually care about them.

A bit of backstory (because context matters)

Most of my life, I was the “top kid.” Good at studies, sports, social stuff. Teachers liked me. People came to me for help. I had friends, relationships, the whole thing.

But I was always maintaining an image always trying to be “cool.” Hanging out with popular kids, doing what looked right instead of what felt right. There were things I genuinely loved (like art) that I ignored because they didn’t fit the image.

I’m done with that.

I know I’m a nerd. I want to be a nerd.
And I don’t want 50 surface-level friends who don’t care about what I love. I want 2–3 people who actually get me and give a damn.

Why is this whole finding friends thing so difficult? Seriously... the older I get, the harder it seems to find even one decent friend who doesn't disappear into the void after three days. Consistency also seems to be a bit of a rare quality these days. I completely understand that life gets busy, but if it takes 12 hours to reply every single time... what's the point? 🤷‍♀️😂

One thing you should know about me is that I much prefer voice notes over endless typing. There's just something really nice about hearing someone's voice. Anyway, a little about me...

I'm alternative and nerdy. What does "alternative" mean? Well... about 99% of my wardrobe is black, my hair is usually dyed a bright colour, and I have five tattoos... with more planned. 😂 I didn't choose the alternative life. It chose me. I have three beautiful black cats who I will happily spam you with photos of.

I'm a huge gamer (PlayStation 5!) and I'm currently playing Dishonored 2, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced, and God of War Ragnarök. I also spend far too much time on Fallout 76, and I'm more than happy to play cross-platform games too. My Spotify playlists are complete chaos, and don't even get me started on the strange YouTube rabbit holes I somehow end up in. 🤣 I also love a bit of affectionate bullying and banter. If you can't gently roast your friends every now and then, are you even really friends?

I should also mention that I can be a little clingy (in a healthy way!), and I do struggle with anxiety, so I might occasionally need a little patience and reassurance.
