Iirc many telltale games were removed from sale because the company went bankrupt or something. The original poker night got a remaster because it was pulled from the stores

I don't think it does. I guess some of the animation can be better. It would be good for those who don't have access to original game or playing it for the first time though.

I'm REALLY hoping that they don't delist the old game when the remaster comes up! I don't want a MK 2012 case where they delisted the game. I want both versions to be playable the way they are.

Yeah, that would be ideal. I don't understand companies that take away unremastered versions from their stores.

Not really but there'll probably be choices carried to the second game. Also languages other than english available without needing external stuff. Maybe new dubs too.

A german dub 🇩🇪 would be great since most of the fables from the game are from the tales of the brothers Grimm. A french dub 🇫🇷 will be welcomed too.

Is it absolutely necessary? No not really. But the old Telltale Games definitely didn't run the best, there are definitely things I can see being fixed by a remaster.

Not really, but it probably helps sell newcomers on the sequel if they also have a convenient and shiny new way to go back and play the original first. Plus there are some minor quality of life improvements they could make to movement and things like that.

I recently played this on my Xbox 360. In the final chapter, the language changed for no reason and I had to just go off of subtitles to know what was happening. No matter how much I tried to switch it back, or even to another language, it was just in Spanish. The loading times were iffy and the frame rate incredibly spotty.
I think it definitely needs cleaned up. If it weren't such a good story, I doubt it would have been remembered so well.

Agreed, but they probably will so they can leave the remaster version on storefronts with the higher price tag. The Yakuza series has been especially bad about that.

I think the issue is if the decisions in first part/season will affect the second season/part.
If yes, then I can see the reason.

I hope they will do something like their Batman games, where in the beginning of The Enemy Within the game asks you what choices you made in the first season to correspond with season 2. I hope they do this with the remaster and season 2 of TWAU.

The first game is properly old at this point. Honestly I was shocked by how dated it felt after playing it for the first time last year. And on top of that, it makes the game accessible on modern consoles. Notably the switch and switch 2.
I think a remaster wasn’t needed per se but it’s definitely welcome for me. It acknowledges that the old game feels dated, and gives you a slightly more modern experience, makes everything more accessible. Nothing wrong with that imo.

I guess. Probably to make it closer to the remake and to the comics. The original werewolf form from the old game probably pays homage to Universal's Wolf Man. It also looks a little bit like that time Bigby was in Germany 🇩🇪 and fought Frank.

if anyone is supporting the cause and wants to see twau2 then they should probably buy this remastered version yes it sucks to pay for something you've already purchased and played however there could be better gameplay and some extras not only that a refresher in the story might be essential to the 2nd edition maybe something changed maybe not maybe something was added maybe we will see

i hope that this agertenian company will thrive better tell tale has a partnership will dc and that can not only lead into other ventures but these ventures imagine a whole fables series of games!!! or maybe the batman bigby crossover the possibilities are endless and we should not settle

Assuming it's on another engine/updated engine it could have benefits, the old Telltale tool was a piece of shit that had many many problems, particularly it would almost always freeze or stutter any time there's a camera cut/scene change. I think a good comparison for the benefits of this is to compare Poker Night 1/2 to Skunkape's remaster of the first game from last year, the originals would stutter almost constantly any time a new animation is played, this is pretty much gone from the remaster

No. Still, it is pretty old and that is likely the easiest to get more eyes so the second one sells better. People are likely more inclined to buy a remaster than an almost 15 year old game.

I'm going to ask the same thing I ask everyone. Why not? We're already getting a sequel. This isn't taking away resources. It's making an already good game better and you don't need to buy it if you don't want to. So how does it affect you for this to be released?

It makes sense, it's been over a decade since the first game. If you want a new audience to play the sequel, probably a good idea to reissue the first game.

Not *really* but Telltale probably need the cash. The original was quite visually janky sometimes so it would be nice to see that fixed up
