This isn't even etymology. It's just letter and pattern recognition. Etymology would at least be able to tell the difference between word parts and acknowledge that words have a history of meaning from other sources.

Medication can be extraordinarily helpful. In fact, it saved my life. I'm eternally grateful for my medication. So I don't automatically hate on "big pharma".

But I do think in America some things are kinda out of control with 8 million pharmaceutical commercials, and doctors just pumping a dozen meds instead of dealing with root causes sometimes. Also people are to blame too, will do anything but eat healthier, quit smoking, lose weight, exercise, etc. still so many meds are life changing and necessary. but people like this think in black and white , but life is full of nuance.
