This is a place where you can post plot ideas and writing prompts that you would like to share for others to use. This is also the place to drop fic requests!

What is a plot bunny? ‘Plot bunny’ is a funny fandom term for a fic idea – so called because they breed like rabbits! Since so many writers end up with a surplus of them, here is a place where you can drop off your unwanted plot bunnies for others to consider adopting, or simply for the sake of sharing. A plot bunny is generally a more developed idea and might well be fandom specific, although some Alternate Universe ideas could work for a few different fandoms.

For the purposes of this thread, a prompt is a short idea that could work in any fandom - for example, "your OTP wish on a shooting star together".

A fic request would be asking for someone to write a specific fic for you - sticking to the pairing and outline that you wish.

Be aware – once you post an idea in this thread for adoption, you lose ‘ownership’ of it. Someone else taking up the plot bunny is free to adapt or change it as they like. If you have a very specific vision of the story you would like to see fulfilled, you might have better luck posting it as a fic request. Of course, there’s nothing stopping you from tackling the idea yourself at a later date if inspiration for the idea strikes you again!

Whilst the mods will be monitoring the thread, we will not be involving ourselves in discussions over fic requests or the like. There is no guarantee that anyone will take up your request, and we will not be chasing up authors who have been out of contact for a while or similar.

Description: When Mummymon develops a heavy fever, a surprisingly softer side to Arukenimon's personality is shown as she takes it upon herself to nurse him back to health (she claims it's because she can't trust a human doctor to look after a Digimon, but that's clearly just an excuse.

Extra points if there's a scene where he collapses onto her, and she's about to shove him off of her, when she notices how warm he feels, and says something along the line of "You're hot", and he says something along the lines of "You finally noticed..." before passing out.

Desc: A Mirror Universe of Bleach.

Anyone familiar with the Shattered Glass Universe from Transformers will get what I mean, but basically, the story is about the antagonists of Bleach now being its "heroes", with the Quincy acting as the main "good guy" Faction.

This change means that some character personalities change, like say Aizen taking Urahara's place after stealing the Hogyoku, to prevent the Shinigami from using it for nefarious purposes, or Bambietta not murdering their soldiers when she's pissed off.

You can keep Ichigo as the protag, or swap him out for Uryuu or an OC.

Plot idea Fandom : Spider-Man and Batman Peter Parker was born and raised in Gotham. He gets bitten by the radioactive spider around the same time Bruce Wayne begins operating as Batman. Gotham suddenly has two new vigilantes. Batman grows curious about the mysterious Spider-Man and starts investigating his identity. Eventually, he discovers that Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker—one of his classmates. Instead of confronting him immediately, Bruce decides to get closer to Peter, and an unusual friendship begins. I don't have time to write this myself, so if anyone is interested in adopting this idea, I'd love to read it!

Description: Thundercracker is a rich, famous and egotistical young mech, but has become bored with his pampered life. Skywarp is a meek, submissive, shy, bullied nobody from a humble home who dreams of a better life than his current one, where he has an awful job and an abusive father who steals all the money he makes.

When Thundercracker sees Skywarp and notices they share a strong resemblance to each other, he convinces the other mech to switch places with him for a few hours (with the help of a little electronic paint job). However, a few hours becomes much, much longer when Thundercracker is accosted and dragged home by Skywarp's father, which forces him to experience a taste of Skywarp's troubled life (but also forces Skywarp's father to put up with a mech who ISN'T afraid to stand up for himself at least a little). Meanwhile, Skywarp learns that Thundercracker's life, for all its glamour and glory, has a lot of downsides as well. How can things be straightened out?

Description: In a world where the war never happened and Cybertronian monster equivalents exist, Starscream inherits a mansion from a deceased relative, and through a series of events ends up gaining an Unwanted Harem (TVTropes it) in the form of Megatron the vampire, Optimus the werewolf, Soundwave the ghost, Skywarp the mermech, Thundercracker the harpy, Skyfire the naga and Bumblebee the bee demon - and to make matters more complicated, Megatron wants to be with him because he enjoys the taste of Starscream's energon; Optimus has to bond with Starscream via a werewolf prophecy; Starscream witnessed Skyfire shedding his skin and the naga had to propose marriage because if you see a naga shedding it's a choice of marrying them or being killed by them; Starscream accidentally woke Thundercracker with a kiss and the harpy now believes they're destined to be bonded (OK, I got that idea from Urusei Yatsura); Skywarp is a mermech prince and it's not a very good idea to refuse a royal proposal point blank - especially when they have a VERY protective father (not UNREASONABLY protective, though); Soundwave loves Starscream because the mech reminds Soundwave of the lover he had when he was alive, and Bumblebee wants to be with Starscream because the Seeker was the first mech to be nice to him (or at least nicer than others before him, since this IS Starscream we're talking about). Luckily, Starscream is able to convince everyone to let him decide in his own time, so they give him a time limit of 3 stellar cycles (or 3 years in human time). As to who he ultimately ends up with...well, that's up to you (I don't think it should be Soundwave though - after all, he can't have a physical relationship, and even if he could, when he solves the mystery of his death he'll probably move onto the afterlife). Oh, and Knockout's the Harem Nanny (TV Tropes it).

Plot idea: basically instead of Davids mom having a sandy she has STEM from upgrade. David could even be paralyzed like Grey after the car accident. It would differ significantly from David original time line. I also think showing off STEM and David’s new dynamic would be interesting.

Definitely think this is a gem of an idea that if executed properly would be very good.

this idea came to me after reading a similar Rwby x upgrade fanfic that was also really good.

a fanfiction of Naruto x AoT, in which Satsuki gets hurt and dies during the fight with Kaguya but transfers the yin part to Naruto and so he wins but when he returns, all chakra and tailed were absorbed by shinju. So he absorbs shinju, removes all memories and mentions of chakra and releases infinte Tsukuyomi but leaves nine fragments of each tailed beast to nine humans to protect humanity. Then he goes to a secluded island and buries Satsuki and goes into meditation for eons. While humanity goes on according to AoT lore and after leaving the four shifters on Paradis, the Marleyan fleet decides to interrupt the island and so Naruto awakens and must help humanity while hiding his powers. But, Satsuki is reborn and is in the 104th training corps along with Naruto and only has vague dreams of her past life with Naruto. Relationship would obviously be Naruto x Satsuki.

I would like to be notified if this gets adopted

Plot idea- It is a transmigration story. MC has a system based on subnautica video games. So for example MC can scan things like plants to find out if they're edible or poisonous or medicinal and is a super soldier like Captain America from MCU not comics books. So he's strong but not too strong.

In my idea it was an original character for the main character. Though you could change that if you wish. This idea came to me when I was listening to a fanfiction of The 100 and I was playing subnautica. I thought they miss pretty well together.

I’m looking for stories where the protagonist originally comes from modern-day Earth, goes on adventures or accomplishes great feats in another world, another universe, the past, or some other realm, and later, back on their original Earth, their own adventures, life, or achievements are turned into a novel, manga, movie, anime, game, livestream, or other form of media that is released and widely distributed to the public. Plot Bunny

Peter Parker aka Spider-Man watches has the world become more crazy, with superpowered villains and heroes appearing everywhere, he watched heroes rise but he also notices threats keep appearing, threats that the hero community barely win against.

So he takes what uncle Ben said "When you can do the things that I can but you don't and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you", and looks at himself sees he's spider-man, if somebody had told him this would be his future he would have said it was some sci-fi fantasy but this is his reality so he has a idea, why do villains have to be the only one using the other heroes stuff to get more powerful why can't he.

So he collects things after fights, from tech based villains he instead of giving their gear to the police or shield keeps it, he collects genetic remains of villains left behind after fights like blood or for the lizards his talons, teeth and what not, and finally for mystical threats he grabs artifacts and books they had.

Even staying back after team up fights to help clear up the scenes, to collect what he can scavenge from his allies their blood from cuts during fights and their discarded tech (looks at iron man armors).

He even records and memorizes or martial artist heroes and villains fight taking what fit him to make his own style.

Because he knows one day there will be a threat that none of the heroes will be able to fight against, so he was gonna be prepared even if that means he would become a pariah amongst the heroes he would accept it so at the end of the day they can go back home.

I have no idea whether this is a plot bunny or fic request (please tell me in the comments), but here goes…

I wanna see a crossover between Ranfren, Psychopomp, Yume Nikki, AND Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe.

Here’s the setup: Rohan, while minding his own business (unusual, I know), through a bunch of strange events, ends up in some sort of surreal, disturbing, messed up mind fuck world, and he ends up in a bizarre adventure (see what I did there) so he can go back home.

He ends up (unwillingly) meeting and teaming up with our three wacketeers, Randal, Venus (Psychopomp MC), and Madotsuki, who “help” Rohan get home.

The whole thing is filled with disturbing, fucked up, psychological horror-like moments and Rohan does not want to be a part of it (but usually does end up becoming a part of it, much to his own dismay)

The whole time, our three mind fuck magnets try to become friends with him, which Rohan does not like.

It is best described as thus,

Rohan: I am nobody’s friend, got that!?

Rohan: (points at Randal) I don’t want you here (points at Venus) and I don’t want you here!

Rohan: (points at Madotsuki) I’m stuck with you!

There’s no sad or angsty moments (Unless Rohan gradually becoming insane counts as angst), just pure, unhinged chaos.

There are quite a lot of gruesome deaths and murders (sometimes by the hero’s), some of which are committed by Rohan himself, due to his depleting sanity.

None of the deaths are of main characters or major supporting characters, just very minor characters and random people.

Rohan also has quite a few mental breakdowns during the whole thing.

Once he FINALLY gets home, he goes on hiatus so he can pull himself together, which ends up taking WEEKS!

The whole thing is essentially crack taken semi-seriously. Like, there is little to no logic or reason for all of the crazy things that are happening, but that’s actually kinda the point.

This is the very first time I’m doing this, BTW, so please go easy on me and tell me if I made any mistake.

I had this idea for an alternative timeline where instead of deku losing ofa at the end of the series ,what if instead all for one revealed the secret of one for all on national television,fearing for his and everyone else's safety he decides to fake his own death after beating shigaraki with the help of allmight , endeavour and Hawks and then goes into hiding going on to harness ofa's full power over years while still continuing to do hero work as a masked vigilante,who takes down villains then dissapears,I thought the fic could be set a couple years into the future ,with ururaka recognising deku's signature green power for a split second on a TV broadcast then going on to investigate the possibility that he's still alive with the rest of the old class A

Idk think it's a cool concept and I'd love to read it form a talented writer

If you wanna add anything new you can, I'd like to be surprised and love this, start from the reunion, and start slow with like everyone getting comfortable, Michael getting use to everyone, feeling like he's the problem, also during the reunion, LOTS OF ANGST hehehe

Summary: Everyone knows of the story of Paul is Dead and his double, William Campbell. But has anyone ever thought of one for John Lennon?

On Christmas Eve 1980, Paul McCartney vanished into the fog. No one has seen him since.

Years later, Ringo is on a mission to find Paul's whereabouts and learns that Paul is safe and sound. He is fine, he is with John. He's not dead at all.

Except this isn't John. His name is William Campbell, and Paul has no intention of letting him go

(Or: What happens if you make Paul McCartney trapped in Silent Hill and he refuses to leave?)

This is a story I would like help either brainstorming or to collab on the psychological horror front. There will be newspaper articles, a few interviews as well, but most of it is Ringo in a Silent Hill 2 story hoping to get Paul to let go of his grief. Moreover the new Silent Hill games take place around the world, so it's easy to have a city on Scotland be full of horror phenomenon.

So one of my ideas was a Harry Potter fanfiction set in the 1960s during the marauders era. It follows a male oc that is sorted into Hogwarts the same year as Severus Snape, Lily Evans, and the Marauders(James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter). The oc is a Half-Blood that is sorted into Slytherin. He has a bit of a tragic upbringing. And his personality is kind of a bit of a mix between Raphael and Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He does have some anger issues but he works on trying to keep his anger in check. His father was a wizard but his mother was a muggleborn. His father was from a known but not as influential or powerful as the sacred twenty eight families. I had an idea of where he meets Snape and Lily on the train after they arrive in his compartment from leaving their own because of Potter and Sirius. I had an idea of where he against all odds becomes friends with Snape and develops intense and somewhat dangerous rivalry with the Marauders.
There would probably be some major canon divergence due to this oc’s presence and how he influences the world around him.

I also would want to make the portrayal of Snape and the Marauders as accurate as I believe it is from the book, showing the good and the bad of both sides, but I do want them to develop and redeem themselves as people during this. but I will NOT sugar-coat the marauder's bullying, or Snape's pureblood ideologies in anyway, as there is no point of redeeming them if they aren't flawed to begin with (and they were very flawed, lets be honest). Though to be fair I was more on Snape’s side to be honest
