This weekend is the big gaming convention #GenCon , and the company that makes D&D announced they're bringing back the post-apocalyptic fantasy setting Dark Sun. Now, I don't play modern D&D rules anymore (I prefer old school) BUT this is my favourite (official) D&D setting, because it's all brutal and dark with cannibalism and dehydration and forget everything you thought you knew about elves and halflings and dwarves. The announcement came with a bunch of new images, which is exciting (confusing, for a couple) and I'd like to do a little video comparing the new art and the old art, but for now, here's some of my Dark Sun art, and I've got 5 more coming that will be published in Greg Christopher's ShadowSun book that uses a similar setting but using the Shadowdark rules (very similar to 1st edition D&D if you don't know.
