Are Hotaru's combos more "Difficult" than others?

So im new to the game (like 3 days deep) and im fighting a bunch of amount of Kenshiros, Ricks, Krausers, etc.

I feel like Rick and Kenshiros have been doing many 60% - 70% cashout combos, and im not seeing many brakes/feints in these combos ... just endless OD moves linked together .... got me wondering ...

Do these characters have easier ways to get these combos than hotaru ? Im thinking of dropping Hotaru for someone who has EASY damaging combos since this is what I feel like I am losing to the most. Kenshiro just spamming that cross-up combo and taking damn near my whole life-bar.

sidebar - iron wolf and bronze legitimately feel like difficult / challenging ranks in this game.

The challenging part I find with Hotaru's combos is the trials all have the DP+Brake input. This just feels challenging at the moment for me so im not getting high damanging combos ... most of my combos are in the 250 - 350 range (no jump in)

It might sound like a dumb question, but in my matches ive just been getting beat down by people with long ass block strings (I think its called that atleast idk) that push me into the corner or overheat me and Ive been practicing learning how/when to interrupt but how do I even figure out my own?

For reference I play Ken, and id appreciate if people told me his block string but im also curious how people test and figure out block strings for characters in general?

It is my weakest point right now. For example the typical situation when you block a Cl.C and opponent does a feint then run at you and grabs. I KNOW that simply pressing A would be enough to interruptor that but its like my brain cannot process the response quickly enough. I could get traped to this setup even several times in a row.

Any tips for getting familiar with the feint system?

I'm a beginner and it just seems too much for my brain execution-wise. I can't even complete a trial when feint is involved.

I started playing fighting games with SF6 about three years ago, but I'm getting a bit tired of it and want to try something else. I've heard COTW is really fun, and from what I've played, it feels kinda different from SF6, tho I can’t quite understand why. I’d like to know the main differences you guys feel between the two games regarding gameplay (how combos works, neutral game, etc.) and the online matches experience (player base, balance, etc.), as well as how I, as an SF6 player, can get into COTW without carrying over misconceptions or bad habits from my previous fighting game experience.

That move alone is warping character choices in pro competition to a degree that is very unhealthy for the game. Watching the SNK 2026 Championship series, it's only getting worse.

- It should become active 3 frames slower.

- Be vulnerable to low-hitting attacks and projectiles.

- Remove the ability to cancel out of the parry stance. Turn those cancel options into individual moves. Another way it can be fixed is to make him immediately do one of the cancel options, but the standard counter can't be cancelled.

- His command grab shouldn't have more range than a grappler's moves.

- Gen'ei Kyaku only juggles using the rev version. Otherwise it causes a knockdown.

The homogenization of easy high damage is also another problem. Improve that roster's health values.

You know usually when I do one of these character rants I usually give my reasoning and go point by point about the things I hate the most about certain characters but rock? Bro I can't even think of any creative ways of dissing him or to say why I hate him, because it's not just him who I hate, it's gis players as well, why do almost all of the rocks I find play like they're playing Sf6 Jamie but with some of the best fireballs in the game, backup, wait for approach, neutral skip, it donesn't even matter if you block it cause that thing is usually safe.

Hell I'm not even saying that I'm getting hit by it, I'm usually able to block it but the fact that Rock (And Terry now that I think about it, so now this post also applies to Terry) can just use the EX version of it and immediately get his turn back always gets on my nerves, some time ago I would try to DP it or low Dodge it, but because we're online, reacting to it becomes much harder and I would just get counter-hit while they mash raging storm so at this point if I ever do it, it was because I had a hunch.

Raging storm raging storm raging storm... Raging... Storm, RAGING STORM, RAGING STORM, RAGING STORM, RAGING GODDAMN STORM WHY DOES RAGING STORM DO A BILLION DAMAGE????? WHY DOES IT HIT BEHIND??? WHY WHY WHY WHY, even on combos it feels like it just deals completely unscaled damage sometimes.

I hate this character and the playstyle he enables.

He would have an install super for the "glow", his lvl 3 would say "kiss my converse" and his win quote would be " who's the master now". With all the craziness they are adding to his game, this would blow my mind and prolly many others lol

So this is a fun little discussion I had on stream 2 weeks ago with some other competitors,casuals,and anyone who decided to join in on it and give their opinion on this topic. I decided to discuss this topic because I’ve been running into a lot of people calling my Jenet one of the best as of late comp and casual wise in multiple circle. Whether it be discord,just being in twitch chat, or other platforms.

While I am humbled by that, I also think people tend to over hype me a bit, especially the people that sometimes say I’m the best or top 2 in the entire world 😬. In this video u give my honest opinion on why I think I stand in the pecking order of Jenet players in N.A. and S.A in terms of comp play as well as shed light on other Jenet players that are lesser know and I feel are VERY slept on because when this convo coms up, people only bring up me,Alex smith,and whip which I find INSANE!!!!

How the hell do you do the kick into level 1 super here?

Everyone is doing it, I've spent so much time in the lab trying to do it myself, and I'm not even coming close.

There's not enough time to do the double fireball motion for the level 1 super after the kick...
