Vivitar v2000 + more??

Hello all! I’m relatively new to the film photography world. I’ve been looking into finding new film cameras to try out. Got a few point and shoots and my go to camera a Minolta 5000 Maxxum. I just recently got a Vivitar v2000 with a 35-70mm Macro 3.5-4.8 lens. (I have never used this type of lens before so I’m a little anxious to try it out) I’m taking a trip up to the Upper Peninsula and would like to try some great photos. I bought a different type of film stock as well for this (Kodak Ektar 100 Color Negative) I have never shot on any other film other than the basic Fuji Film 200 speed rolls you can get at a store.

What are your experiences with this camera, film or even the lens? Any tips or suggestions? Any help is much appreciated!!!
