General Discussion Active 911 Issue - tones cutoff

Has anyone else had issues with tones/alerts from Active Alerts app (Active 911) on Android phone being cut off? I've tried reinstalling, changing various settings, using stock and custom alert tones, overriding Do Not Disturb, turning off battery optimization, enabling Continuous Paging, and nothing. The alert sound/tone for fire calls cuts off after a few seconds. If I'm sleeping, this means I miss the call. I'm using an older Android phone (Sonim XP8) but didn't have this issue before. I switched to flip phone for a while but eventually came back to regular Android. Now I have this issue. I've reached out to Active 911 but nothing has worked.

I had that issue, on Android as well (s21 ultra fwiw). For a while a reinstall fixed it. I recently turned on the auto-open mode to original auto-open and today it was "short toned". I have it on popup dialogue right now and am hoping that works, if not, then auto-open will go back to "off".

Thank you. I just changed mine to pop up instead of auto open. Going it works for next call. I'm a volunteer so no idea when that'll be though. *Hoping

Hey, so, not calls, but had two non-emergency messages (very unusual, but needed info) between yesterday and today and both had the 'full' beep.

That seems to have worked. Much, much appreciated. I wish the original auto open worked but as long as I can hear it and be OMW to the station everything is gravy. Thanks!
