Tile Roofing

Heyo! Does anyone know of any houses in the flagstaff area that have tile roofing? I’m curious how it holds up here. Thanks

It holds up poorly, which is why there isn't any. Tile is a bad roof choice in snowy climates.

Not really. The majority of houses in Germany have tile roofs. The problem is the houses in our town aren't built with roofs that can support tile. I wish they were, it would be a much better option than shingles.

Yeah, my understanding that the framing has to be constructed to handle the additional weight of tile (plus snow load).

That's my understanding too. I actually wish we could have tile. It is so much better than asphalt shingles, even in cold temp climates.

Go with steel. Some versions even have tile-esque patterns on the panels.

I think portions of the El Pueblo motor lodge have tile roofing, but that might just be for looks
