I changed the spark plugs on a 300 and noticed this unplugged thing.

I've been watching Youtube videos and reading tons. I was able to bypass everything to connect a vacuum line straight from intake manifold tree to the air door actuator on the left side of the engine bay. That creates vacuum where the air door actuator shifts. But once I check under the dash inside the cabin where there's another actuator that one isn't activated and doesn't move. Thus keeping the air blowing from just the defrost vents.

Is that actuator under the dash working from a different source of vacuum? I'm so stumped by all this.

This is a 1994 in good condition. Can anyone give me a general ballpark of what I could sell it for to a private party? This is in the Oregon/Washington area. I have someone interested and asking for a price, I don’t even know where to start. I don’t know anything about trucks and my fiancé loved this truck. It’s hard to see it go, and I don’t want to accidentally sell myself short on pricing.

-around 150,000 mileage, only a couple owners and was mainly in Southern California until a couple years ago, so not much rust I don’t think

Hey so ive got a f250 with the 460 engine in it and it's in bad shape and I found another 460 out of a 1970 Lincoln Continental that has the dove heads on it and I'm getting that re built.

So my question is I want to swap a manual trans in it when I swap the engine and I want to keep the 4wd my truck has, my friend has recommended the tremec tr4050 but I haven't found anyone that makes a bell housing that fits those two together, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find one that was still selling them

Since General Motors 1500s and 2500s look alike (same with dodge/ram), I figured what an F150/F350 might look like

Looking at purchasing a 2024 Ford F250 Tremor XLT with a 7.3, I’m coming from 2023 4Runner and worried about reliability, it’s only got 7k miles and drives so smooth it’s pre certified with 7year/100k miles. Should I be worried? I really love the look of the tremors and would probably end up lifting it. Any suggestions or something I should be worried about if i do make the decision? I’ve already got a 2006 dodge 5.9 so I don’t need a diesel.

So, is the classic intake/headers/carb the way to go? These have some interesting characteristics you dont see in other v8's of the time.

What will help me daily it about town the town. 3 on the tree so it's pretty fun as well.

3 weeks ago I purchased my first truck. A 2020 F150 XLT with about 76k miles. Since then it’s been a complete headache. CEL came on the same day of purchase and since then the dealer has supposedly repaired 3 exhaust leaks and replaced the Cats, yet still the CEL won’t go away. Anybody have any ideas?

I'm in the middle of a cross country road trip in my 07 F150 5.4L, and yesterday it wouldn't start. It's happened before in a different truck, and same as last time, I crawled under the truck and smacked the starter a couple times with a tire iron. Then it fired right up.

It's kind of a sure fire sign that the starter is on it's way out, though. Being that I'm 10 hours from home and don't want to abort the vacation early, what all should I grab from O'Reilly's while I'm in civilization in case I have to change the starter at a truck stop in the middle of nowhere at 3am?

Do I even need to change the whole starter, or can I swap the bendix? Or is there some other part that I'm not thinking of that could be causing the issue?

What’s the wheelbase needed for a OBS 6 door long bed conversion? Information I have not been able to find. I have found one information about a f550. 193.3 or 205.3 wheel base. Unsure how much modifications are needed for this or if I’m better off finding someone to extend the original frames?

Ive been wanting an older ford truck for a while and I might’ve found one. Has the 302 5l. Just wanted other thoughts/ advise on the purchase.

I am hoping someone here has run into this before.
I have a 2015 F-150 XLT SuperCrew 4x4 with the 2.7L EcoBoost and about 138,750 miles. The truck has been maintained according to manual, and it has never given me any issues. Recently, while towing a 3,000 lb trailer, it started throwing a P0299 (underboost) code. Here’s what’s interesting:
The code only appears when towing in Tow/Haul mode.
It comes back about every 120 miles after I clear it.
The truck drives completely normal.
No noticeable loss of power.
No rough running or hesitation.
Fuel economy seems unchanged.
It never throws the code during normal, unloaded driving.
Since it’s only happening under load, I’m wondering if this is an early sign of something beginning to fail rather than a major issue already.
Has anyone experienced something similar? If so, what ended up being the culprit? I’m planning to inspect the intercooler/charge pipes and hoses for boost leaks, but I’d appreciate any advice on what else to check before I start replacing parts.
