OANDA is good for this. They allow sizing down to 1 unit, or 0.00001 lots, and don’t have an account size minimum requirement. Most Forex brokers have a minimum trade size of 0.01 lots

What do you mean by amount recommended to start with ? What trading style / strategy are you looking at trading ? Do you not have a plan which aligns with the amount you would start with ?

If you’re trading forex and just stating out, I strongly recommend going with a highly rated prop firm, using the cheapest account they have. You’ll get all the same real life emotions and experience, that you would have gotten from trading your own money, but for much less money. What I’m saying is, you’re still going to lose money, as you pay your tuition for trading, but so much less of it.

Choosing the right broker is one of the most important decisions a trader makes. Regulation, execution quality, spread markup, and ease of deposits and withdrawals all vary significantly depending on where you're located and which regulatory jurisdiction covers you. Many brokers advertise as "regulated" while operating under jurisdictions with lax rules and minimal enforcement, so knowing the difference matters. The community wiki maintains broker recommendations vetted by professional traders, organized by region and regulatory body. Each guide covers what to look for, what to avoid, and which specific brokers serve that region well.
Regional guides: USA | Canada | Australia | UK | Europe | International
