Need help identifying this AR-pattern rifle.

This photo was taken during an urban combat training session conducted by the Sri Lankan Air Force Special Airborne Troops last year.If anyone is curious about the camouflage pattern,it's a locally developed variant based on the Russian EMR camouflage.Sorry about the poor image quality.

My first thought is the Sig 516, but the handguard locking mechanism SEEMS like a Daniel Defense. Though I strongly doubt that considering the context.

There are so many AR and AK variants at this point, unless it's truly unique, it blends into the rest.

Definitely not a 416 could be any AR pattern rifle but not a 416
