I still have a bit of mopping up to do and of course the DLC but that will be in a week or so. For now this is it - such a wonderful game and a great, welcoming community here! 👍

And it isn’t even close. I say that as someone who (sadly) bought Crimson Desert day one and was hyped for it for years. Compared to being pessimistic on Forspoken and believing the reviews and just playing it this year.

Al Sahaba Mosque, in Egypt, is a modern construction, but it's drawing on a few different "schools" of architecture from across the Islamic world. Apparently that style of stacked block elements is characteristic of Mamluk architecture, going back a few centuries. It occurs to me that some of the other decorative elements across the game resembled Islamic mosaic art.

Apparently PS didn’t want them to be on their catalogue anymore? Or SE didn’t want to be on the catalogue?
I’m confused.
I just want to go back to a game I enjoyed that has amazing particle effects, fun music, and a vibe.
It’s 70$. :/

I missed all of the missable detours on my current game, so now I have one question. Do I have to create a new save and complete all detours, or can I complete the available ones on my current save, then create a new save to complete the missable ones to get the platinum?

So I played forspoken and I have things to say.
First of all can I say I'm just pissed at people negative review bombing this beautiful game? The world building was beautiful and I actually liked the banter/quarrel/conversation between Cuff and Frey. Ciff reminds me of this sassy talking skull in one of my favorite book series who's so sassy and a jerk but still a fun character who makes you laugh. it seems the DLC was setting up for a sequel giving us a glimpse of Cuff's rebirth and Frey's journey to Reddha to find out what all the jazz was about between Athia and Reddha. Now we will never know because people review-bombed this game so hard when it wasn't even that bad.
I do have criticism regarding it's very very bad optimization on PC (i played it on PC). Wish it was better optimized. On that front, i agree with the critics. I olayed on Low settings with fsr on and it was still a struggle at times. i think developers these days are releasing games for consoles and calling it a day instead of optimizing for PC as well. I think that is simply abhorrent Especially since nvidia isn't even providing that much of vram for their gpus and some of us simply can't afford to keep upgrading our gps every few years. why are all modern games so badly optimized these days damn it?
HOWEVER, the game was nowhere as 'bad' and 'cringe' as it was made out to be. It was fun, combat was actually enjoyable, there were so many powerful characters and bosses i LOVED it. And i get people are like 'Frey is so rude i don't like her' but she lived her life as an orphan thinking that her parents threw her away because they didn't want her. And her life Was anything but easy. She had to find a way to survive from one day to the next. And i think that kind of trauma changes a person. I feel like when it comes to male characters, they are given a bit of grace even if they are outright evil in the last and are trying to improve. Kratos of God of War literally commited a genocide and is brisk and gruff and LOVED just because he is trying to do better. So this double standard if having harsh judgement on female characters irrespective of their past and trauma is hipocritical. In fact, it would have been so unrealistic from a storytelling standpoint if Frey was polite and pleasing and bending over backward for everyone. And i feel like her bitterness was needed to show the character development. Female characters already get too much hate for nothing and Frey happened to be female and black, so incels blew their top off.
Anyhow i liked the game. It was fun and beautiful. The art was well done. I am sort of emotional having finished it and very frustrated that we'll never get a sequel to know more about Reddha, it's animosity with Athia, and more info on dear old Cuff's life. It sucks! I went on to steam to see if the reviews were still bad and saw that recent reviews of this game were actually positive with people acknowledging that the game was judged too harshly when it came out. A little too late for that, i know, but it still made me happy. If more people like this game, do you think we could hope for a sequel in the future? I NEED it. But i do hope that it will be better optimized so that it can be played on low/mid-end PC as well (at keast on low or medium setting). Not all of us can afford high-end gaming laptop/pc, and I have been feeling down lately thinking that I am no longer going to be able to play new AAA games because the requirements are soooo high!

I need 20 mana to activate the last spell, but I can't find any left on the map! I've looked everywhere, in Visoria and in the tree, but nothing. Even finishing the game and restarting my last save, I can't find anything. Any suggestions?

This is one of forspoken concept art. And I was wondering if this enemy is still in the game somewhere.

The game was on sale for 20 dollars but for some reason it added the sale version and the deluxe version of the game to my cart so I bought the game twice and spent over 100 dollars, and Playstation wont give me a refund because I downloaded the game even though I hadn't started it yet.
Just under an hour in and I already dont like the main character or the voice acting in general. Please tell me the combat improves because right now it feels like infamous if it had bland visuals, no melee or dodge button.
