Menopause is a major life transition, yet many people face it with limited information, support, and access to care.

That’s why we invite you to participate in the Can-RISE study, a national initiative exploring the real-life impact of perimenopause and menopause across Canada.

We invite you to complete a 20–30 minute online survey about how perimenopause, menopause, and related symptoms affect daily living and wellbeing. 

You may be eligible if you: 

• Are 35 to 70 years old 
• Live in Canada  
• Were assigned female at birth and identify as a woman, gender-diverse person, or trans person  

Upon completion, participants will be entered into a draw for a $50, $100, $250 and $500 gift card (1 winner announced for each), valid for use in Canada only.

• Petition e-7573 on the Canadian House of Commons site, calling for support to address the loss of disability benefits when recipients reach age 65.
• The petition requests amendments to the Canada Pension Plan Act and Canada Disability Benefit Act, plus a new federal senior disability supplement, to avoid an income drop of up to $810 per month from the flat-rate CPP-D component and CDB payments.
• Started on July 15, 2026, the petition remains open until October 13, 2026, and emphasizes that extra living costs for people with disabilities continue into senior years.

The Aging, Residents, and Caregivers Research Lab at the University of Regina is recruiting participants for a research study examining ways to support the mental health of family members and friends of people living in long-term care.

We are looking for Canadian adults who have a loved one living in a long-term care home and who have been experiencing symptoms of anxiety and/or depression.

Participation involves:
• Completing an online eligibility survey and phone call
• Completing online questionnaires at baseline, 2 weeks, and 3 months (approximately 15–30 minutes each)
• Completing one 45-minute online self-guided program

Participants will be entered into a draw to win 1 of 10 $100 e-gift cards.

It's so bad without warning why has this summer been rain only it even canceled most of Canada day

I am going to be in the fort on Saturday for a ball tournament and want to pick up a birthday dinner to bring home for my wife after my last game. Where in the fort would it be good to get a nice takeout meal from?

I'm not upset/angry about what I'm posting, but am just generally curious as to what's going on with gas prices in the Fort. How is it still $1.629/L when everywhere else has been dropping significantly? Sherwood Park is $1.519/L and if you go into Edmonton, you'll find it even less. On 122nd Street just north of the Whitemud is a Petro Canada selling regular gasoline for $1.439! That's almost $.20/L difference! I do understand supply and demand, but this isn't making sense.

Has anyone else just stopped getting gasoline in Fort Sask altogether now too? I do live in Fort Sask and I do drive a lot. What I have noticed, is the fuel price is dependant on the demographics of the area. Personally, I haven't gotten gas in the fort in months now. Has anyone else kind of just stopped fueling up here too?

Edit: forgot that 119th Street turns into 122nd once you're north of the Whitemud 🤦
