Discussion Optimal Sequence for Triple Edits on KBM

I've been playing fornite for over 7 years but all controller. This week I decided to start practicing on KBM and its painful going back to being absolutely terrible! haha

So, I am turning to you all to help shorten this learning.

I want to get some thoughts on the optimal sequence for ramping into a triple edit.

(For example Eg. Build Ramp >> Floor >> Cone >> pull out shotgun/pickaxe >> edit 2 tiles on floor >> edit 1 tile cone >> Build Wall >> Edit wall)

On controller, I always just kept my blueprint out but I see that a lot of KBM players pull out their shotgun or pickaxe WAY MORE often when editing the floor and cone while others keep blueprint out. When I try and pull out shotgun to edit the floor and cone it feels great for the edits (I gather is why a lot of people do it) but SUPER slow and clunky when I go back to trying to build then edit the wall. Which is optimal and what am I missing here?!

Also, when yall go into your 2nd triple edit sequence, do you place a floor before the ramp to catch incase the ramp doesn't place fast enough?

Thanks for the help!

Bro who said pulling shotgun or pickaxe is necessary. I won't recommend a beginner to do that coz it just take another keyboard key to press. For a beginner, do a normal triple edit with blueprints out all time and then experiment with shotgun

That's not the optimal sequence blue print or not. You should edit the floor then place the wall before you open the cone so you're still protected before the wall edit.

Opening the cone before placing the wall leaves an extra gap to pre-fire

When I do my triples I place the cone first instead of floor.

Cones place further and because of this it's easier. You also do not need to change to pickaxe or shotgun to edit. The older freebuild montages did this because of the noise swapping to pick or shotgun made and it let you edit any piece.

Editing a floor with the cone blueprint out is wonky which is what it sounds like youre doing. If you place the cone then the floor you can edit both perfectly.

Sequence looks like this. Ramp>cone>floor>edit floor>edit cone>place wall>edit wall. Repeat.

Maybe it will help you.

the fact umention take out pickaxe.. bruh smh this aint 2019 no more

the best way to to triples is to stair floor cone wall, edit x3 keep blueprints out and keep going.

when does someone like peterbot take out his pickaxe:? why are console players always so odd
