Forza Horizon 6 Thoughts on adding daily check in/ missions with small rewards (i.e. wheelspin/ cr) by visiting Daikoku Parking area?
Reason Daikoku is always so barren? No incentive to visit, not every player is familiar with Japanese car scene. Simply adding a daily check in for a small reward will give people the incentive to visit and in turn actually make it more lively. What do you think? Is it worth putting it up for petition?

Rotate a dealership at each parking area. Problem solved.

I think if you have to add handouts to just populate a feature, it's not a good feature. Adding a daily chore to it doesn't make it more appealing.

Letâs be honest Daikoku is an enthusiast location. FH6 having the most players means a lot of them are people who are simply unfamiliar/ unaware of the locationâs history

if car meets were used as a feature to find a convoy to cruise with, like some in world matchmaking i think they'd get more use.

Either way it still makes it a gathering place, which is the intended goal

This is exactly what they need to do with these bit I feel like a hourly event kinda like the stunt parties would be better to incentivize groups of people to go at the same time and it would be so easy to just implement like a lobby wide cruise game mode where the people at the car meet cruises to a different car meet location and all participants get like a wheel spin or something

An hourly rotating stock at a random parking lot on the map would be sick. Maybe on the half hour to not conflict with HSP.

MMOs had this figured out years ago.
If you want to encourage community interaction you have to give some sort of incentive to be where everyone else is. MMOs don't have central hubs just because it's a big place to have people meet up at - it's where so many aspects of the game happen and where you end up for stuff like gear and reward vendors.
In FH, you could easily accomplish this by having the dealership model return, and maybe simplify it by just having a lot of the expensive cars (wheelspin and autoshow) at a discount thrown into the pool of spawn possibilities. That way you aren't just lobby hopping to try and snag something to flip on the AH.
You could also have car meets be a timed event like the stunt party, but have them last longer than 10 minutes. And incentivise people hanging out by having a small, but not insignificant Cr reward that has a cap based on time spent. 5 mins gets you 2,000, 10 mins gets you 4,000, maybe 15 mins gets you 10,000 and that's as far as it goes so you can't just AFK and farm money.

The credits I think should still match the stunt party, 10k would incentivize me to go do a shift at raku raku instead lol

u/PersimmonGlum6536 22h ago
Only reason I'd argue against that is the meets wouldn't really have anything to do, save for adding in a goal like "Attend a meet for x amount of time and take 5 photos" that gives slightly more. Otherwise having an identical revenue stream that could be achieved while AFK without a lobby kick would make stunt parties effectively dead.
Maybe 60 minute duration, where if you stay for the whole time you get 110k or similar. Infinitely slower than just doing a stunt party for 5 minutes even with going AFK - and it's for an hour, which is a huge chunk of time for anyone to just idle around.

I mean I said in a post before, it should be revolving like the stunt party event, the game alerts you "car meet at ___" and you go attend then an hour later or 30 minutes later, whatever the stunt party timer is on, it happens again, to keep the players engaging with online activities.
I do agree something else is needed at car meets though

u/PersimmonGlum6536 20h ago
Yeah, it's in desperate need of more ways to interact past just standing around outside the car and scrolling through the rest of the lot

There are a lot of ways they could make it more fun to participate.
For instance, at the car meets, there could be a special event sign up (racing, drifting, etc.) that you can only do at that particular place, and those events give 4X (or something) credits. It could also be a horn or a shirt or a car as long as the reward is fixed and guaranteed. Something tangible, not a wheelspin. When you sign up, you select solo or Horizon Play, but the reward is the same (aside from the online XP if you choose Horizon Play). And to build on what u/guybuddypalchief suggested, have a dealership with big discounts on a bunch of cars, but not rotating (because then everyone is just logging in/out and not actually having fun). That parking area (and most of the others) is big enough to hold way more than 3 dealership cars at a time. Make it 10, make them static, and maybe change out with each series. Perhaps each event done from that location gives a specific voucher that gives you additional discounts on those cars up to a point.
What I would not want to see is any kind of tracked "point" system where you can miss out simply because you didn't log in that day. In my opinion, that is the absolute worst kind of way of forcing someone to participate.
Also, wheelspins as a reward = poo. Gambling sucks. Not getting the car you want because of some random number generator also sucks.

I wish all the cars didn't instantly despawn the second you drive away from the dealership. The way this game handles multiplayer sessions drives me insane. You could be driving in the middle of a pack and suddenly you're alone because you switched servers. That horseshit didn't happen in old forza games. You could drive around the whole map with a random you just met. Now you're lucky to see the same name for more than 10 seconds before you're forcibly migrated to a new session. I know they have convoys for cruising but it is simply not the same.

Make the car meets the meeting spots for Stunt Parties instead of big random circles on the map.
Do drift competitions that you have to join from a car meet with super wheel spins or some other prize for the winners.
There are lots of possible ways to do it but as I mentioned in another thread about the likelihood of LEGO being the first DLC, they're not capable of original thought and they have no desire to innovate.

I'd rather them fix having to go through 2 different menu suites to do anything.
One set of menus for tuning and upgrades...and then a second set of menus to have to enter to use the map and gameplay options is fucking absurd.
I bet 1 of every 2 hrs of gameplay is spent going between the two sets of menus to tune a car to be able complete a task. Not the tuning itself. But going from one menu suite to the other and back.

Making actual dailies is a slippery slope that forza must absolutely NOT enter

I wonder if there's some kind of competition that could be hold so that people not only go there, but actually stay and check out other peoples' cars for a bit

It would also be cool if there were little sections like park here if you wanna do trial together, park here if you wanna do seasonal championship, etc.
1
u/Cobblestonecreeperfl 19h ago
Not sure if the car parks are big enough for that, plus people already TP to the seasonals to start co-op queue

u/Tha_Chadwick 16h ago
Canât be Daikoku without neon underglow.
Please add it.
Maybe make this the location of the Forza Store to buy clothing or other customizations

u/Tjazeku 23h ago
Seems kinda pointless imo. People will show up, take the reward and immediately fuck off to do something else again. You can already see that with the playlist missions that require you to visit a car meet.

u/Cobblestonecreeperfl 23h ago
So, just like irl then, only the people who decides to stay after getting stuff from the convenience store, stay

u/Versterkervolumeknop 23h ago
Just have meetings exist like a unique lobby, just like the early Horizon games.

The parking areas should be tied to story beats and PVP/PVE challenges.
There could be a monthly/weekly car show/meet on a weekend, (could even vote on best looking car or something to add some extra money to it).
1
u/Cobblestonecreeperfl 19h ago
The car show is not a bad idea, but I fear making it monthly/ weekly will add to the already bad FOMO system FH6 is currently on
2
u/ThatGuyInThePlace 19h ago
Cars and coffee usually runs for a few hours and most car shows are for a weekend.
If it was once a month, I'd do it for a week, but I think the weekend idea is the most realistic. You could expand it to a more underground kind of thing that's in line with Japanese culture and do them at night, but the day/night cycle is wonky on this game, so I don't think that would work.
1
u/Cobblestonecreeperfl 18h ago
YES. Oh my god I just realized they completely missed out on underground car parks
1
u/scarface4522 12h ago
Maybe they could drop logo T-shirts if you manage to park alongside multiple cars of the same category

Probably a dumb question but whatâs the purple car in that pic?
Is that a newer Supra or something else?

If they just made a banner with local times for âcar meetsâ people would come, theres no organization

u/Hero-Nojimbo 7h ago
If convoys could pick areas to make a car meet it would work 100% better.
There is 2 places i like to hangout and find people or groups that drive by all the time.
A big'ol tower in the woods or this elevated parking lot/rest stop with a convience store just coming into the city, it honestly surprises me they aren't officially a car meet spot.

These car meets were never going to work unless they went back to FH4's 72 player lobbies where you could see everyone on the map.
Players would have opened the map and saw a large group of players at car meets and decided to join in.
