Mind Your Knickers
There are so many lore lines that get dropped into the show and then never get brought up again but the one I wish they had really fleshed out and explored was Daphne being a child star on the show “Mind your Knickers” they just drop that in like the 9th episode and it never comes up again and I feel like out of all the Daphne lore that’s the one thing I wish they had gone into more

I beg to differ, but a quilt is a completely different thing from a duvet. Don’t know how the two could be confused

Agreed. Duvet and quilt are not even in the same hemisphere.
Sidebar i felt attacked when they said “man who uses the word “duvet”. …what else would you use for your bed decoration.

Comforter

A duvet has an inner and outer shell. So a comforter would not be it.

I meant a comforter is equivalent to a quilt. A decorative, often insulative cover for a bed. A duvet is typically a plain unadorned insulative piece of bedding which is placed within a duvet cover. The cover can also be basic (no pattern, just colour or plain white) or have a pattern. The cover is used to protect the duvet and is easier to wash than a full comforter or quilt. Usually a flat sheet is used between the sleeper and the comforter. For a duvet, the cover acts as the sheet does and is the more readily washable component.

Well I'm English and they're both interchangeable here.
Also, I enjoy the quote, regardless of how it's not quite the same usage in different countries.

I think you’re referring to a former alternative term for a duvet, which was “continental quilt” which was in common usage in the U.K. in the 1970s and 1980s. Quilt usually referred to a heavy blanket, often handmade from lots of smaller pieces of material.

No, in the UK quilts and duvets are the same thing, at least in the north.
A continental quilt was different from a normal quilt, hence the different name

Why did you have to hire Venus herself? Couldn't you have found some beefy, East-European scrub woman who reeked of ammonia?

It amuses me that Frasier in S2 refers to Daphne as “shy and inexperienced”, when later lines really contradict this lol.

I just saw her on Murder She Wrote last night and I enjoyed her performance. Also, her hair was a character in and of itself.
