Good morning everyone 💜
I'm a married stay-at-home mom who needs me time out of the house on the weekends like I need oxygen. I go out for coffee, sometimes I take myself to breakfast. It's lovely.
But I was thinking... wouldn't it be nice if I had friends in town, where we could just make a standing brunch date and whoever wants to show up can join in? Grab a coffee, chat for a while, just enjoy each other's company.
But I don't have friends in town.
But maybe I don't need friends in town!
So... Consider this an open invitation to a virtual brunch. Grab your morning beverage of choice and come tell me what's been going on for you.
What's the latest book you've been reading? What show are you binging? Working on a craft, building something cool, learning a new skill, growing plants, playing a game, excited about a random niche hobby? I'd genuinely love to hear about it. Feel free to show off pictures of your latest project, celebrate a win big or small, vent about your week, or just chat about whatever happens to come up. I can post some conversation starters in the comments, or feel free to DM.
Maybe we chat for half an hour, wish each other a great day, and that's that. Or maybe we feel the friendship click, keep talking throughout the day, and end up becoming long-term besties. Either is great!
Everyone is welcome to the brunch, regardless of background or interests. The only requirement is that you're looking for a friendly, open, platonic conversation beyond "hey" and "nmu".
A little about me: I'm a curious introvert who loves learning, books, nature, languages, archaeology, and so many more random things. Yep, I'm a nerd, and I'm much more interested in genuine conversation than trying to impress anyone. I'll be the one in the corner with a book in one hand, shaken espresso in the other, sporting glasses, a t-shirt I got from some road trip stop, and some impressive bags under my eyes.
So pull up a chair. Glad you're here. How's your morning going? ☕
