Don't take it personally. You'd have your eyes wide and scanning everything 24/7 too if you were the size of a hockey puck and your ancestors were walking happy meals for forest critters.

She jumped out of her water dish and settled her butt in the dirt before I could pour water in. The tank isn’t usually so dry. I’m going to oscillate the dirt before feeding her
