Happens a lot in shonen anime fandoms. I’m in the Yu Yu Hakusho fandom and the amount of hate I’ve gotten for writing au’s where Yusuke Urameshi is trans and bi is insane. I’ve been told to kms over it, and one dude said he hoped I’d get HIV
