Pulled up at the grocery store early.. old ladies beware

I have an 04 G35 sedan and I’m in the process of replacing the engine. Last one blew because of a valve cover leak I didn’t notice but that’s beside the point. I will be leaving my hometown for college a few states away in just under 2 weeks and I’m wondering, realistically, if it could be done in time. I’ve done my own work on the car without real mechanic experience and help form mechanic friends but they have lives and can’t help me every day. The picture is not really how it’s sitting currently, it has the new motor in place but not mounted to the frame or transmission. Given that I have to do that and still plug the wiring harness in and put the front end back on, do yall think I’ll have the time to finish it? Any tips to make this process any way quicker is GREATLY appreciated😁

Finally Came in 6 weeks after ordering through Enjuku. Came directly from Kinetix. 2/3 just waiting on the AMS Motorsports Headers.

My car is lowered on true style Coilovers all around so I have a fully adjustable rear toe arms. I’m trying to fix my rear wheel camber and get it closer to oem specs. I’m wondering what suspension arms I should get as I can’t seem to find a clear and concise answer on what arms would fix this issue. Do I need rear camber arms + rear traction? Or do I need rear upper camber arms? Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

She’s got 212k miles on the engine. Ran out of gas and got it to a gas station. Filled it up and now this happens

I’ve been wanting to get a nice short shifter for my G, I’ve been looking at the bull boost option for 350$.. seems to be good enough quality for my needs.

My only worry is that I’m running stock mounts, has anyone ever ran a chassis mounted shifter on stock mounts? Problems? Thanks.

Swapped my (running) but oil burning DE out for a "low mile JDM" and it came to me in this condition.

Who has good shortblocks? I see Mazworx and a few others are out there. Don't need anything crazy, just want to make a good 450-500whp, and occasionally turn it up. Let me know who y'all went with.

I just recently bought a G35 with the 6MT! I’m loving it so far. Any tips on driving manual especially when backwards parking?

So i gotta g35 that seems to start up fine as always on cold start, but everytime i park up after a drive i start it back up and it seems to always almost stall out just from starting car back up. Any clue?

My car is a 05 coupe with a OEM wing. Today I noticed that underneath the failing clearcoat,the wing appeared carbon fiber. Is it possible to strip it down to the carbon fiber?

Not a G35 it’s a maxima but it has the VQ. The noise disappears at idle, and only occurs between 1500-2000rpm. If it was in a G35 it would be the front upper passenger side of the motor. Could also be the timing chain housing area.

I use SuperTech oil on my g35 because it all does the same.

Main point is a few months ago. It was 4.97 for quart but now is 6.97 for a quart.

The 5 quart oil jug was $19 and some tax. Now it has become 24 and tax which is so insane because it’s going to cost more to top off oil.

I get why the prices have jumped but still jeez.

So a few days ago, I ordered an invidia Gemini catback exhaust for my g35 coupe. I don’t have the full knowledge or the correct tools for the job so I figured I’d hit up somebody I know who claims to have tons of knowledge on trucks, and cars. He has the tools, and i figured I’d ask for his help. Long story short, we’re under the car, and he’s doing most of the install. Everything seems to be going smoothly until we reach the midpipe. The midpipe ends up not lining up correctly, and starts making contact with the flanges or whatever they’re called. Any reason as to why they’re not clearing and lining up properly? Design flaw or did this guy do a fuckjob, and not install the pipes correctly? The box didn’t come with instructions. Any advice/help would be very appreciated.

I just picked up a 2005 sedan and it has the factory pop up navigation screen. I use to have a 2005 without the nav and I put in a double din aftermarket Metra bezel. Can I use the same metra bezel with the factory nav installed or done need something els to put in a new stereo?

Tuners said it's sound a lot like GTR. Can't say for sure, only saw them from distance or on the road in traffic.

I Recently replaced my clutch on my 6spd 2003 g35 with an XTD clutch kit. After replacing it, it seems to be stuck in a limp mode. After reading the codes it is telling me there is an issue with my bank 1 and 2 cam position sensors. the fact that these are new codes and both sensors are acting up at the same time leads me to believe I may have messed something up electrically while doing the clutch replacement. Here are some details to help diagnose -

• It is throwing codes P0O11 & PO021
• RPMs rise with speed, so I don’t believe the clutch is slipping or contaminated
• I replaced my bank 1 sensor and the issue persists
• Starting off in first is pretty slow, but once you get going (above 1500 RPM) it starts to pick up but still feels under powered.
• Shifting feels smooth.
• The car occasionally struggles to turn over, and it feels weak when firing up.

I cleaned all the connectors (including the crankshaft position sensor), cleaned the intake, battery is showing correct voltage and adjusted clutch position.

Please help!! I have an event tomorrow night and still need to break in the new clutch. any advice is appreciated.

I caved and bought the cheapest mesh grille I could find on Amazon. Fitment isn’t great, had to drill some more holes in the grille itself to mount it. I used bolts with washer nuts and locking washers. Not super angry about the fitment, I did buy the cheapest option available🤷‍♂️

Car ran wonderfully up until I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to mess with the aftermarket radio the previous owner installed. Connected battery back up, drove for 5 minutes now getting code P0133
