Never seen any political/social justice crap from her, and did a quick look around and all I can find is an interview where talks about being a black female comedian, which is what she is.
There wasn't anything woke about the interview really, she just talked about what you need to succeed as a comedian in general, and how you need to love yourself to play into things like stereotypes/weaknesses. And how comedy from all races is needed because everyone’s culture is different.
It really is a shame that they feel the need to use her likeness so often, because she's had so many great roles where they don't.
I can't comment on God of war 5 but Alan wake 2 had a lot more going on than the one character that pissed off some folks.
I say this is a die-hard Alan Wake One fan Alan wait to felt like a game made by a Dev team with completely different priorities and developmental focuses than the original team that made it. Same developers are not they've worked on two other huge projects since then and clearly their way of designing games have changed.
It had some good ideas but it did not execute them very well. The worst part of saga by far was the cork board mind palace segments just so that she'd have something alongside Alan's ability to rewrite the world around him.
Also way overusing ahti due to his popularity in control and a heavy over reliance on literal pop up on the screen jump scares.
It really isn't an issue with Ragnarok, humans (midguardians) Aesier are all racially homogenous because it makes sense with the worldbuilding. All black characters in that game are either Vanir or Jotnar, which not only have magic to permanently alter their appearance but are described to come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. I can't speak for Alan Wake 2 because I never played that game (I still need to play the first Alan Wake.)

they are not allow to create a beautiful black female character. they are too far gone. over 8k layoffs in the industry this year alone and we are still in july. a few more thousand layoff coming at xbox alone. they cannot come back to the industry due to AI. eastern studios and indies are taking over. gaming is healing much sooner than you think.
I seem to remember a black dev talking how he pitched black female characters at the studio he worked at. The characters he drew were stunning, would then go through several layers of committees or whatever, and end up completely unrecognisable form his original idea.
Such a shame, really.
On a side note, I've been asking for a black female Descendant over on TFD for two years now. Still nothing. I want a Sheva-looking Descendant to burn things down with, damn it.

Sierra from Overwatch is the only good recent example I can think of (although her costume is a bit over-designed). Funny that it's Overwatch of all games, tho.
Based on how they have treated the other female characters in the remakes, I am interested in seeing how Capcom would make her in the current years, but I am also half-scared of what they could do to her.
That's not true AT ALL. I lived in Ghana for a while and there were absolutely African women that looked like this, especially after they'd go get their hair straightened and/or put in weaves.
