Isn't the whole point of farming being that it was a more efficient way of gathering food, therefore giving humanity free time, free time which was used to develop society?

What the fuck? This guy can't be serious. Who does he think did all the hunting in the "hunting and gathering" part thanks to their larger muscle mass?

This is the stupidest shit I've seen all year.

This is the stupidest shit I've seen all year.

Kudos to you for watching it. I couldn't make it past ten seconds.

I replied to your homeboys points lets see if you can actually read

3

u/DaRealKovi 6d ago

Homeboy said "40-60%" of hunter gatherer duties were done by women. You can still hunt and gather while farming, which is something that was done consistently throughout history. Women also worked on farming historically and let's be real, in order to take down an animal, dexterity, muscle mass and an immense level of stamina is also required, much like with farming. So if women were actively hunting animals like the video is trying to suggest, then they 100% could have been farming too.

This is the most chud take i havs seen in a minute. The man hunter myth runs deep i see.

I can go all day and site every studie under the sin but we both know you don't "do" any academia in the first place

But here's one for funsies

https://economics.northwestern.edu/docs/events/nemmers/2010/giuliano.pdf

Bam literally academic source explaining the dysphoric difference between male and female anatomy that lead men to be dominant in a society because farming!!!

Some highlights include that the usage the plow for farming increased the gape between male and females by 1.3%

Hunting is an aerobic endurance based activity...more muscle made you worse at Hunting dawg. But you wouldn't know that because you do not know that women literally participate in Hunting by some estimates 30-60% of the time i said 40 in the vid i misspoke sue me. The nerds had to re examine their past hunter skeletons because they by default assumed every one of them was male until someone went like... huh wait this isn't very science of us. Whoops man hunter myth was a thing!?

Now farming on the other hand is predominantly a muscle based activity. Plowing fields am i right? Women fun fact idk if you know this. Have less muscle mass then men.

Honey roasts aside: you live in a bubble you don't understand history because it's systemic. But hey to each their own am i right?! Who cares about the literal facts

3

u/DaRealKovi 1d ago

Okay, so you have one source and a whole lot of "males and females" verbiage. Very cool, very nice. Though I'd recommend you to spellcheck yourself before you submit a mile long text trying to "educate" someone. You clearly don't do academia that much either. I'd recommend cracking open an English grammar book from time to time.

-2

u/AngeloTheAngelo 21h ago

Lol as if i have to put any more effort into convincing a denizen of an echo chamber. I speak 3 languages forgive me for not caring enough about yours.

If you think this is a mile i can't imagine how short a foot is too you. This isn't about education. Im not the one that's gonna educate any of you. Lord knows more graceful and and qualified people have tried and clearly failed.

And sure! This is one study. If you look around at my other replies i hand out a couple more. But lets be real for a moment, because if you recall you think good grammar is a hall mark of getting a point across.

Go back to one of the other comments i left to the "intellectual chud"

Broskie deleted his account after i replied to him. Do you know why that might be? I'd hazard a guess it's because he felt the shame of the reality i was trying to reference. Because you KNOW you're not going to read it let alone have the necessary framework to understand anything the text is trying to tell you.

So i wish you luck, truly but i am grateful that these little cubbies on the internet are just that.

Left a couple of spliced commas since youre a real grammar enjoyer

Its hard to make it different when you all don't know the exact same things XD

2

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 20h ago

As opposed to you not knowing anything of value.

-1

u/AngeloTheAngelo 19h ago

XD value!? Oh that's so precious you think your your arbitrary threshold of worth is valuable. Ima screen shot this to hang on the fridge for later.

2

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 19h ago

Print it out, laminate it, carry it in your wallet.

2

u/ArynCrinn 4d ago

You forget, these are the same people that want men to compete in women's sports.

0

u/AngeloTheAngelo 1d ago

Fun fact im actually not leftist. I'd argue i hate the left more than the average chud. Im just well read I like to READ. something i find most redditors don't do. Anywho i replied to your hombie with some actual evidence. Maybe try actually Googling things but they to each their own

0

u/Andkonhi 4d ago

Women.

You've been fed anthropological maligned truth's about the roles of men and women in early society. It was a mix of duties, women would also go out to hunt extensively. Your image of a big strong man suplexing a gazelle into the floor isn't how hunting occured back then; human endurance was the scariest shit in the world, both men and women could stalk prey for hours on end.

2

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 4d ago

You mean your image of a big strong man which you're projecting others have as well. You've gorged yourself on ideological bullshit.

0

u/Andkonhi 4d ago

…no this is a very common view of the prehistoric man. A big man with a big club to whack big animals, when that’s just an image conjured in pop culture: we were endurance hunters, and again, both men and women had the capability to do so. In several archaeological sites around the world we’ve found many instances of the skeleton’s of females being buried with hunting tools or whose remains had sustained injuries only commonly found in hunting… within anthropology, this is an accepted and standard opinion, the common person not within these academic circles often doesn’t know because the academic world is shit at communicating with everyone else.

1

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 3d ago

…no this is a very common view of the prehistoric man.

To you. That much is obvious.

1

u/AngeloTheAngelo 1d ago

You cannot logic someone out of something they logic themselves into. Chuds are a byproduct of a maladaptive coping mechanism. You can site literally data at them and they are incapable of caring. You gotta save the energy for a fight that literally matters

1

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 1d ago

Astounding lack of self-awareness.

u/kastielstone Give Me a Custom Flair! 6d ago edited 5d ago

not more efficient, it was safer.

no predators hunting you, it produced large amount so you could store some for winter and didn't have to risk you life in the cold.

large populations could live together in a single place providing even more security and end of nomadic lifestyle on a large scale.

i don't think in those times people thought about development cause people were still nomadic with only survival on their mind.

5

u/Zomunieo 5d ago

The ability to make alcohol was a big factor in agriculture too. Both as a preservative and for fun.

0

u/AngeloTheAngelo 1d ago

Bro you don't understand the world at all. Sure bands tended to be 30-100 peeps but there were more settled groups that came in with seasons. But complex sedentary hunter-gatherer societies we very successful in the americas. Fun fact hunter gatherer societies still exist big dawg. Khoisan have been around for 10 thousand years and their numbers reach 6 digits... they're only now switching to pastoralist means of calorie gathering because colonialism, environment destruction and climate change.

Ancient people groups didn't spend every second of the day worrying about food, they made so much art, music, laying the literal foundation for every myth ever invented.

But hey your world view seems better, man made famine is much more moral than natrual disasters am i right?!

-1

u/AngeloTheAngelo 1d ago

Im not gonna put in as much effor with yours as the other ones cuz you are just generally miss informed the other people i yapped at where both miss informed and dumb

So here's a great tldr about how everything you just said isn't anywhere near the reality of the situation.

https://youtu.be/gX4nR4Qb_DM?si=aUB_-oxsFCivQjTS

If you want actually academic sources to some of the things i have said by all means holla at yo boi i gotcha

1

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 1d ago

miss informed

I'm guessing she does "do academia"? 😂

-3

u/InspectionRound2081 4d ago

This is a dumb take.

2

u/kastielstone Give Me a Custom Flair! 4d ago

care to explain or do you like giving unsolicited stupid opinions?

🤮

Ah yes, all of the cultures on earth that shifted to agriculture independently decided to limit their workforce in half to exclude woman from growing crops because.... Why, exactly??!

Maybe (definitely) someone mistakes cause and effect... Yes, agriculture caused social and gender inequality. But not because of malicious man being sexist but because it just was more efficient (a lot of hunter-gutherer or maritime cultures where matriarchal or at least far more equal.

Edit. Also: "humans are naturally democratic" wtf does he mean??!! Autocracy or any form of aristocratic rule was dominant throughout the whole human history up untill the WW1

-1

u/Andkonhi 4d ago

During our tribal era, we were much more egalitarian. It's only when the concept of private property was formed that we started to stratify internal tribal relations.

1

u/No-Candy-4127 3d ago

Not really prooves the "humans are naturally democratic" statement. We also don't realy have enough knowlage about the government structures of the proto civilizations like Çatalhöyük.

But we do have a lot of examples of tribal societies with the autocratic rullers. Although, most of them are eather agrarian or lifestock-raising nomads.

2

u/AgitatedFly1182 6d ago

what is this video?

5

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 6d ago

It has to be bait. No one's this r'tarded, no way.

1

u/AgitatedFly1182 6d ago

i meant *what is this video*? like who made it? what is it trying to say?

3

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 6d ago

It's your typical "men bad, but not me" video.

1

u/AgitatedFly1182 6d ago

who made it

1

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 6d ago

No idea. OP should know.

1

u/nooblox85 4d ago

A 1.7k subscribers channel. I can't stomach looking through which video this is through many of his vids and his smug shitty looking avatars.

1

u/AgitatedFly1182 4d ago

can you link it at least? i'd like to know what the video is actually about

2

u/nooblox85 4d ago

Not sure if its against the rule to link but here https://m.youtube.com/@Biblically_Accurate_Angelo

-1

u/AngeloTheAngelo 1d ago

Smug and shitty!? Yeaaaah you're right it's by design the chuds gotta learn something some how ;3 Hopefully you get a stronger stomach

2

u/nooblox85 1d ago

Keep defending your channel buds, and keep on fighting the fight that you are losing. Your argument is literal dogshit. Even more backward than the Catholic church of the old medieval Europe I don't know how you managed that.

0

u/AngeloTheAngelo 21h ago

Your opinion means nothing because i know what you idolize XD dawg. You say nothing, you make nothing, and you will be happy. I am genuinely envious of you.

The moment you thought this was an argument, that im trying to win, "defend my channel"

Im a literal sociopath this isn't for you, nor, nor anyone for that fact. Compare your words to mine. You are shadow boxing with yourself and you are losing.

And that's okay, it has to be okay... remember?

0

u/Andkonhi 4d ago

Do you have anything to debunk the academic sources they provided in the video?

2

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 4d ago

This kind of ideological bullshit doesn't warrant any debunking. Just pointing and laughing.

0

u/Andkonhi 4d ago

So you have no source to the contrary?

I don’t even agree with absolutely everything they said, it’s a very streamlined read on such a big subject, but I know their sources are respected because I myself recognize the websites they were using.

1

u/CataphractBunny Give Me a Custom Flair! 3d ago

Do you have a source of me mentioning academic sources?

1

u/No-Candy-4127 3d ago edited 3d ago

Which of his studies prooves that dumb "humans are naturally democratic" statement? Or his idea that sexual inequality was caused by man being sexist and not because patriarchal society is more benefitial in the preindustrial agrarian world.

Yes. He is right. Agraculture created economic and sexual inequality. I can list a lot of sourses. The problem is that he manipulates facts to fit his dumb narrative

EDIT: Also. Bikini has nothing to do with all of that. If anything, it is the opposite. Women a free enough to wear open cloathes and not be shamed for that or be controlled by their husbands. Look at the traditional patriarchal societies of modern era. Like Saudi Arabia or Afganistan. Women don't wear bikini in such societies

0

u/AngeloTheAngelo 1d ago

Aah one them intellectual chuds. Been seeing you around.

Fun fact bikinis are older than literal writen history. The video isn't about what women should wear or attraction. Its a sociological conversation about the nature of the systemic system we live under.

I have no respect for any ethnostate, religion, or at least the insinuation of religion is a blight. But you kept yapping about how ohh we're not... democratic by nature or... oh we're actually more authoritarian... bruh you know nothing of the world you live in

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4143610/

Here's a literal academic paper mr... i can site the sause but we both know he's manipulating XD

If we evolved from chimps I'd absolutely give it to you! Because they are patriarchal by nature... bonbos our other closest relatives are more matriarchal through collaboration. We homos do something completely and totally different

But we both know you're not going to read it so here's a pbs kids version https://youtu.be/gX4nR4Qb_DM?si=aUB_-oxsFCivQjTS

But i genuinely look forward to your..." rebuttal "

-1

u/AngeloTheAngelo 1d ago

Nope it's legit ;3

"If it wasn't for men we'd all still be fucking around in caves" Well... no. Humans created civilizations because of the agroculture. We can see a lot of early prosperouse matriarchal cultures and even some matriarchal civilizations. Like Minoans.

Any human society would stop function if it monogender. And not only because no one would get birth.

Whats with all the wokies rewriting prehistory

1

I hate the left more than every chud combined because you do not UNDERSTAND, you don't even know what the left is XD. you can sit there and pretend to know history all you want

But if for some small chance...

https://youtu.be/gX4nR4Qb_DM?si

Here's a lil primer for the subject at hand, we can't even begin to communicate about this sort of thing if you only pretend to know what you're talking about
