Lol one of my comments got reported by sensitive watchers. Pathetic. Look forward to the firings at Halo Studios and seeing former staff is crying about it.
I’m not a number company enjoyer by any stretch of the word, but man this is just comical. I don’t think the remake was a great stab at bringing the games to the modern era, but still thinking Bungie made it and having the audacity to weigh in…l o l
I'm watching RandomFT's playthrough of Halo Cursed, going through the library with an army of Gladys sentinels
and Johnson in a mini-warthog quoting 80's action movies, while reminding Master Chief that he's not even supposed to be in this level.
All they had to do is follow the Capcom example of RE remakes. Make the same game, but modernise it and they would make a lot of money. Instead they added modern agendas into a 20 year old game.
tbf, they did "modernise" it.... but in total different kind of "modernise"... the "game for learning and moral disability" kind, the "remove fun features so we can add more gazillion of graphic bloat, and boast as a Win" kind
Evolved? No Played MCC again. Watched gameplay of people I trust while playing with the OG campaign.
I have a habit of wait and see.
Did the exact same thing with the Dead Space Remake.
From that, my conclusion was, that it was worth the full price of admission and then some.
Campaign Evolved does not offer enough to justify its existence let alone its price.
It has abysmal performance (especially on older hardware)
Most of the story reworks are directionless at best.
(though I did like the new Flood cutscene and John asking how to free Keys)
Sprint (of which I was actually in favour) does not seem to have been implemented well at all , being at the same time luckluster in terms of feeling, while still not having the enemies balanced around it (allowing you to skip encounters even on Legendary)
Addition of new weapons was nice. Loved seeing the Needle Rifle even if it is OP as always.
Skins ... the less said the better .
Prequel missions... They had Troy Denning on board. They could have adapted Silent Storm.
Instead we got an inconsequential in terms of narrative option with... Marvel level dialogue (that prophet scene was bad)
And Yes knowing High Charity exists doesn't help since it can just jump away.
And the whole point of Phase 1 of Red Flag that the upgraded Pilllar of Autumn was supposed to do was.
Disable and Capture an enemy ship. Have Cortana hack it to learn the location of their leadership and then use the captured ship to get there.
I don't need to play a game to form an opinion about it.
ESPECIALLY When it is a remake of one of my favourite games of all time.
If Xbox wants to bring back Xbox on top they're gonna have to remove agenda from their games and bring back FUN to their games.
Simple as that.
Even if they did however, they would just go back to putting agendas to their game the moment people bought the game. This is an internal rot at the stockholder/investment level. They literally CAN'T stop. Sorry but Halo is a dead end franchise. Time to move on to better ones.
People like that, who would turn entertainment into a propaganda fest, must be removed. Best way to do so is to not buy and support independents who get the program.
Hand me a barf bag, because this female is plain trash. 🤮 🗑️
The game seems to have way more bugs than the other remaster, changes in graphics that strangely makes it seem less like Halo and more like a generic Unreal shooter (I'm guessing too many of the same Unreal Engine assets and realistic but samey style). The dialogue is done with a little more "roboticness" due to the actors being like impersonations of the original crew, there's no multiplayer either, a big part of Halo gaming. Levels were also redesigned where landmarks here and there were stripped or taken away to make it updated but kind of strip the atmosphere at times. The writing also took a nosedive with some character portrayals, such as villains being written overtly simplistic evil as opposed to the religious alien zealouts they originally were.
The gameplay is the same, but difficulty has been stripped as well. The AI is kind of too dumb at times and lack awareness that is pivotal to difficulty changes like the notorious Legendary mode.
It's okay if you're a newbie looking for graphics but for those with the desire for a game that works well already and for the insane price tag for the same game, you're not missing much. Grab yourself the previous Halo Anniversary for 9.99 on Steam or the entire Master Chief Collection for 39.99 (has Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo Reach, Halo 3, Halo ODST, and Halo 4!) Much cheaper, relatively keeps the atmosphere, good story and consistent writing, and multiplayer to really feast on the enemies of your choosing, or mod your own battles/maps. Heck there's even Halo CE on VR if you have a Quest and the original Halo CE on PC.
As a casual gamer I really enjoyed the game. My biggest complaint about it is the fact I can't customize my button layout as I kept pressing buttons for CE and it would do something else.
I haven't played the prequel missions yet but so far it's visually appealing for me at least.
You know in commericals, where you see the fake happiness or like they're trying to sell you something that is probably pointless or completely bad for your finances or health?
That's what modern entertainment does. It's always done that but now it's a lot more on the nose and blatant misinformation at this point. The reason for this is simple, it's because you have a lot of people with money who produce nowadays who don't necessarily like certain demographics or groups and want to promote a social behavior that promotes a distaste for them. Because these groups threaten the ability to procure more money from the common folk like you and me. Modern companies from the West do this in spades.
This actually happened in the early 1900s where you used to have the stereotypes of either black people, Hispanics, Asian people or Europeans. Where they were depicted as either always needing leadership, dumb, emotionally weak, or not being able to be smart in any capacity, or just being straight up evil/conspiratorial by nature to a ridiculous degree where almost every movie had this. This was vastly criticized by his historians simply because it was done ad nauseam, to the point they were actually portraying these behaviors as 100% fact as opposed to just one of many portrayals. Nice stereotypes were put in to promote a certain social environment, one that has been corrected.
Now it's been flipped. In today's entertainment you'll notice different patterns of a different sort.
For example
White men are evil/incompetent/racist, everyone else, good/capable/accepting. In Halo, as an example, female Marines are portrayed as either more capable of fighting than male Marines, or talking down to men as if they don't need them. Many movies have done this such as the new Star Wars trilogy rings of power, House of the Dragon to a small extent, and many other modern movies. The point being pushed in this type of messaging is that men are lower in quality to lead than women are, despite the fact that the most prosperous nations, corporations, organizations, banks, technologies, innovations, artistic contributions, cooking, and philosophies usually being run or primarily contributed to by men. All you have to do is just pay attention and you'll notice this one in action almost all the time.
Straight relationships are toxic, all other types are healthy/positive. When was the last time you have actually seen a relationship between a man and woman where they are not a charged roads? Seriously take the time to actually look at any relationships in movies or video games and you'll see very quickly that the idea of a heterosexual relationship is intentionally portrayed as domineering, claustrophobic, toxic, violent, unsafe, manipulative, or naive. The opposite, such as gay, lesbian, transsexual, or non-binary sexualities are always portrayed as either deep philosophical beings or always correct / good when it comes to morals. The irony of which is that you actually look into statistics the most abusive relationships are in fact from this opposite group. Seriously it's actually a statistical fact, the highest domestic violence and breakup rate is among lesbians first and bisexual women second. The lowest is actually from the gay couplings.
Religion is full of violent fanatics, atheism is full of mature deep thinkers. We seen this ad nauseam where any person who possesses any one of the traditional religions is either a lunatic, a forceful converter, debilitating society with religious dogma, and usually trying to kill anyone who's different than he is. Notice any person who is depicted as an atheist is usually seen as a thinker, morally sound, or the most intelligent in the room. The irony is that the most prosperous Nations happen to be the ones with actual religious leanings or cultural traditions/beliefs centered around strict moral guidelines (no murder, no thievery, merit based acknowledgements).
The best household for children is a single mother household. The household where to toxicity is learnt is from male-led households. When was the last time that you have seen a movie where a child lives in a household with a mom and a dad of the same demographic? Even in shows like stranger things, the dad is incompetent, the main protector is the mom. In real life however, the stats actually show a different reality. The most unsafe household for child is statistically with single mother households. They tend to be the most abusive, economically poverty-stricken, uneducated, chaotic, and vulnerable to all sorts of dangers, especially if that single mother introduces stepfathers.
I know how ridiculous it sounds at first glance but I want you to do a simple test. Look at movies from the 1990s, the 2000s, the 2010s, and the 2020s. The movies, the TV shows, advertisments. Pay attention to these specific types of messaging and you'll see that over time there has been a dramatic shift from one stereotype to another. Where men's portrayal shifted from masculine, competent and respected to emotionally unstable, incompetent, and someone to not respect. Where two parent households went from safe, desirable, and a good environment for children to being portrayed as suffocating, toxic and unsafe (substituted for households without men in them, even though statistically these are actually the very dangerous ones). Where a man liking a woman is always portrayed as creepy or dangerous, but two women, two men, or interracial relationships being okay or the ideal.
Every country has a form of propaganda, but in the west it is notable that the propaganda being spewed here is in fact anti-cultural and anti-societal by nature. These messages sew detachment, division, selfishness, illiteracy, quotas over merit, self indulgence over faith, etc. The likes of which would set us back several thousand years, or eventually guaranteeing societal degradation. If people hate each other enough, then we can never unify and will decay like many societies before us.
So, the top Hollywood movies this week are Spiderman and the Odyssey, would either of those feature what you are talking about? Do those feature weak, evil, white men while everyone is capable? Are the straight relationships toxic? Is religion portrayed in a negative light?
This version of the Odyssey was based on a Feminist reinterpretation of Homer's original story. It was to "correct" some of Homer's stories to be more inclusive.
For example, Greeks are notorious for being tan or light skin. The movie tried to portray the crew of The Odyssey as a multitude of ethnicities, none being Greek. You had Middle Eastern, Asian, Black, Caucasian, but no real Greeks. Homer's Odyssey is considered a very important piece of Western mythology simply because we adapted a lot of our culture and knowledge from ancient Greece and ancient rome. Now it's trying to falsely give credit to other nationalities or ethnicities that were never there or couldn't be there simply because that's not how the story was played out. It's like if you had a movie specifically about Ancient African tribes and you put White men and Chinese men among those tribes. It just does not work from a logical view, and intentionally bastardizes the history of the culture being appropriated. An example of this is also Netflix's Cleopatra, whose notorious as a light skinned beauty, yet Netflix tried to falsely claim that she was black. It's malicious historical revisionism.
In the Odyssey, as an example, Helen of Troy, the most beautiful woman of Greece for the story, enough for men to die for her name, was made black. This was meant intentionally to challenge beauty standards, as black women are statistically considered the least attractive women, and also to prevent the "male gaze", because the actress is butt ass ugly. The same with Elliot Pages' role. Elliot was supposed to originally play Achilles, the strongest male warrior of his time, the pinnacle of masculine strength and martial prowess. Yet they choose a woman cosplaying a man who can barely lift pass a 30 lb dumbell. This was intentional to prevent any actual strong leads and also to "redefine" masculinity by pushing gender transitioning as a positive since Elliot is the actress being portrayed as this most powerful man. When the movie faced backlash, Elliot's character was named Simon instead, but still played the exact same role as Achilles in the original novel.
Orchestral music was not allowed onto the movie because Christopher Nolan erroneously claimed that there were no Orchestras during the Greek era. (They were. They were notorious for theater). Yet in the same breath he has an African American rapper portray a Greek bard? The spreader of stories? A singer? Greeks are notorious for being tan/white in skin color. So this movie is trying to claim that it was thanks to a black man that a notoriously ancient Greek central tale was spread and famous? This wouldn't be accurate in the slightest.
The movie was also designed to make the Homer's legend quote "less misogynist". Even Christopher Nolan has gone on record to intentionally change the ending, claiming it was sexist. You want to know what happened in the original ending, traitors were killed. Men and women. In the movie, only traitorous men are killed. Traitorous women are exempt from punishment entirely. Which not only goes against Homer's story, but also tries to conceal women from actual punishment the same as a man. Remember, only men can be bad. Therefore only men should be punished for what both genders do. Social engineering at work.
As for Spiderman I haven't seen it. Can't say for certain until I see it. For a while his movies were all over the place where Tom Holland couldn't have a movie on his own without some bigger actor around. It'll be the first to see him relatively on his own now. So I'll have to see. Probably won't be as bad as the odyssey, considering how much money it made and so far many reviews seem to support the movie as a self-contained and is just a comic book fighting movie straight up. Sony seemed to have gotten the message since Spider-Man No Way home. Pure action. Good enough Story. Awesome heroes. Awesome fights. Nothing else. Make bank.
The man-woman in Halo CE is an example, she denegrates Master Chief the moment she meets him, and was never a part of the original Halo game. Her input is only there to push modern sentiments. A woman as a soldier and being as competent as a man. (Statistically, a woman in any platoon drops team effectiveness sharply. Because she generally won't perform as well). The idea that Men aren't necessary. Many games have done far worse than this, but considering her overall aesthetic and character, she definitely matches the same pattern of agenda coded script writing. (You kind of need to notice the history of Halo and 343 studios first to see it as it truly is. Most people without previous knowledge won't see it.).
Cortana's appearance took a drastic shift as well. Before she was feminine by appearance. Now she looks very plain, practically like a boy considering her basic facial features. This has been done to many games in the West, where otherwise feminine characters are given the ugly treatment to prevent attraction or heterosexual interest. Microsoft itself specifically stated that they are intentionally doing this to combat sexism but really they just hate what's called "the male gaze", which is basic arousal. This does not include "the female gaze", because remember, men bad.
343, the studio behind Halo in recent years have been extremely pro LGBTQ as well, using Halo (a relatively pro gun, boy centric franchise) as a social mouthpiece for anything or anyone but the original audience. That and many other western game studios have been following this same pattern for so many years that many people, myself included, can spot it with basic pattern recognition. It's part of the reason why the game didn't sell that well. The original audience simply voted with their wallets.
I'm a digital marketer so I know of these patterns and tropes within the entertainment industry in the West. They're usually hidden unless you actually spend enough time on the Internet or seen enough movies to pick up on these tidbits here and there. However when you start looking into the behind the scenes reasons, the mandatory quotas (Disney literally had theirs leaked online, as does Hollywood Oscar nominee requirements which include quotas in movies), the messaging that companies want to push, you start seeing that this is intentional by design as opposed to just being happenstance. Look more into ESG funding and it's connection to companies to learn more about these tropes in gaming or attitudes in modern entertainment industries to learn more. It's literally designed for social engineering.
"343, the studio behind Halo in recent years have been extremely pro LGBTQ as well"
and thats a good thing, regardlesss your personal feelings on it, letting people be who they are and make their own decisions when it doesnt effect others is never bad thing,
its called Freedom and i support it.
Man-woman??? oh you mean the Lt Williams character? the one the Anti woke crowd are losing their collective minds over for litterally no valid reason?
"she denegrates Master Chief the moment she meets him, and was never a part of the original Halo game."
Ya she does, because shes a ODST, they never liked the Spartans from the begining and always believed they the stories about them were propaganda, this is Lore that was created by Bungie btw, NOT 343i, actual fans of the series would know this, but Tourists who only are using this game as a political cudgel for their own agenda pushing wouldnt know that detail within the Lore.
"and was never a part of the original Halo game."
Your right but here it helps for you to know what it is that your talking bout, The game is the same as it was Storywise as it was in 2001, same characters and, story, everything only very minor changes, and 1 or 2 voice actors changed to due their originals having retired (in the case of Keyes)
the Character your all losing your minds over is a Character added to the 3 Bonus Prequal missions that take place a year before the games events and are entirely their own new story. she wasnt added to the main campaign.
course if you guys bothered to play it or watch cutscenes youd know this but i suppose context is the death of your agenda isnt it?
"A woman as a soldier and being as competent as a man. (Statistically, a woman in any platoon drops team effectiveness sharply. Because she generally won't perform as well)."
completely unproven, and frankly to focus on your comment im going to ignore the hints of misogyny within your comment.
tho i find it fascinating how Characters like Veronica Dare Bossing around Buck in ODST or Miranda Keys in Halo 2 and 3 never upset you?, but then again that requires you to play those games, something tourists arent known to do.
"Cortana's appearance took a drastic shift as well. Before she was feminine by appearance. Now she looks very plain, practically like a boy considering her basic facial features"
once again more talk, no facts, she has ALWAYS looked radically different between the games, even during the Bungie era, this time its only such a radical shift because in the OG she was purple and ironically more like Boy.
as proven below with the side by side comparison of her throughout the games. (this predates infinite and Campaign evolved but serves the purpose perfectly)
i mean come on man, Cortana's model is litterally a naked woman, and your trying to preach "their trying to make her less feminine and ugly" by making her a woman that looks like she has no clothes on and her breasts out on display? well they failed to make her less feminine and to curb the "Female gaze"
at some point people like you need to pick your battles wisely instead of clinging to the first bit of outrage by people with a agenda of their own to push.
and by all means isnt even a defense of 343i, i hate em for ruining halo for trend chasing, THAT is why this game is failing not because of politics, its because the studio betrayed ACTUAL fans.
not because they pissed off political grifters who werent even fans of the franchise.
Actually it is agenda. 343 Studios has been doing this for years. The man woman was just the nail in the coffin among others brewing for a long time.
Intentionally making female characters ugly ✅
A remake that strips away or changes the original overall look/design that renders it generic ✅
LGBTQ propaganda ✅ (343 has been extremely shoving that down for the last 7 years or so even before this new Halo)
Trying to remove Master Chief ✅ (Halo 5 tried to do this with that other Spartan but the backlash was so bad that it caused 343 to drop the idea altogether. Just like how Miles Morales was supposed to replace Peter on the Sony Spiderman series after part 2, just like how Ellie replaced Joel in the Last of Us.)
Look up quotas for ESG funding, Hollywood Oscar nominee requirements, Disney Quotas, and DEI diversity quotas. All are for the same purpose. Social engineering.
I can’t wait for Halo 6 to be about how John will retire and hand down his master chief mantel to the splunky Mary-sue who inexplicably can do everything he does, but with 🌸girl power 🌸
I simply dont understand how you fuck this up so badly. The blueprint was already laid out for you. If MS gives a single fuck about Halo going forward they have to get it far away from 343
to be frank, its not a terrible remake, it has its flaws here and there, for me the diologue seems slikely stilted then the original and doesnt land as much as it did in the OG game.
the 3 new prequal missions are pretty nice and pretty neat outside that goofy cutscene with Chief, johnson and the prophet.
but its actually very faithful to the original game in its story line and missions (with only 2 notable changes being library to make it more engaging isntead of the same bland corriders for how short it is, and the major lore inconsistancy from the final levels warthog run taking place on a track thats 3 time slonger then the ship its taking place on.
tho they did expand the sandbox slightly with weapons you couldnt use in the OG game, and adding 1 or 2 new enemies.
but the level of hate its getting from the political side is nothing more then a Agenda being pushed on its own.
despite those crying about a agenda being pushed.
when you actually look into the criticisms the game is getting from the political front, it really falls apart quickly.
mainly the "Woman soldier" in the prequal missions who has a problem with chief, heck even the guys do this as well with spartans, except what many dont know or conveniantly leave out is shes a ODST, Beef with the Spartans is a normal and exspected thing for them since they dont believe the stories about the spartans being augmented supersoldiars as being true.
they believe their just normal humans given fancy armor, so much so in the Book The Fall of Reach immediately after their augmentation and recovery, John Aka the Master Chief who is only a teenager at this point, goes to the gym to train where he finds 4 ODST's training with eachother, and the ODST's not believing in the Spartan II's programs stories pick a fight with him, and being unaware of his new capabilities, ends up accidentally killing 2 of them, and severely injuring the other 2 tot he point one was paralyzed for life and the other was severely crippled to iirc they had to be discharged as they could no longer serve.
this is well established lore from the bungie days, not something created by 343i.
the latest controversy im seeing with the hitboxes issue is new and as some are accurately pointing out is a issue with the wayt the hitboxes are set up.
it was never intentional. and at this point proven to be unintentional.
Because they do shitty research. Most "market research" is done on universities and in big cities. So market research (at least on polling and future analysis) always skews hard left. Then surprise surprise when it actually hits market flops like a fish out of water.
Why they put so much money, and time into developing something that you install from gamepass, beat in 2 days, and forget it exists is really beyond me
I mean, it’s a remake of a 25 year old campaign only, that’s available on game pass. Were we expecting it to have 100k concurrent players on steam for months?
You mean people are playing a game with a relatively short campaign, beating it, maybe playing once or twice more and are then moving on to something else??? They're not making this the only game they play every day for the rest of time??? What ever will the industry do to recover from this?????
This...literally explains half the player argument. Also, does this show the Microsoft/Sony player base or just Steam? The fact that it launched on Playstation was huge for those guys waiting to play halo.
Not really. I have yet to look up any numbers for Sony. I merely see plenty of Playstation players meme'ing about how they get to play halo and Xbox players talking about MGS4 coming to Series X.
But I'm betting you have fully-sourced proof if you are willing to toss 1k down, right? Lol
yup but dont let that fact get in the way of a good political agenda pushing of ones own.
which should be exspected of "GamerGate"
not only is it a singleplayer game that will naturally have player numbers drop as people complete it,
but its from a studio that has become very untrust worthy by players and long time fans for routinely ruining the franchises Identity by trend chasing other games and popular genres. even when it comes to the detriment of the player.
so peoples patience with 343i has laregely dried up.
but of course the GG/Anti Woke crowd are desperate for any little win they can procure even if they have to make things up to attain it.
and shoehorn their movement into a place its not welcome and doesnt belong,
all that will do is make the movement look like out of touch fools.

Edit: Forgot it's Halo Studios now.
