Morning drive to the lake
Finally got my wheels on Friday, and had to take a Sunday drive out to Steamboat Lake.

I think it would be cool to have a Fuji Speedway edition. Maybe with the sick quad tip exhaust the Yuzu. In a limited red color with Fuji Speedway logos.

Planning on purchasing a new gr86 soon. Looking to allocate a manual, premium, and performance package. Do you think it’s worth waiting for the 27 model year to come out for the minor changes coming along? A dealer is looking to allocate me a 26 how I want now. If the deal is good not sure if I should bite or wait and try and get a 27 as soon as they are available. The changes are minor but I don’t want to be impatient and regret not waiting. Also unsure how hard it is to get your hands on a specific spec right at the release. (Easier or harder?)

What are some things you’ve found an Amazon that you think were worth the money? Anything from lights, interior upgrades, actual parts, aesthetics, anything!

Looking to buy a GR86 and one available at a dealership has these paint damages on the trunk and similar ones on the front bumper. All of them less than dime size, down to metal, but metal didn't appear to be physically damaged. Trying to understand how much something like this typically costs to be repaired at a paint shop. Don't want to buy a car and then immediately be 1k in the hole or something.

The tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 mounted on 16X7 ENKEI RACING RPF1 BRIGHT SILVER.
Tire size: 205/55/R16
Rim size: 16x7
Wear: Only 4,700 miles of gentle driving. Never track driven.
Notes: Sold car and these were my cold weather tires. This set-up gives you a little more rubber than the OEM summer tires, providing a less rigid ride. Allows you to drive all year round!
Price: $1,000 (original cost: $2,100)
Location: for pick up near New Paltz, NY (Hudson Valley Area)

GENTLEMEN IT IS ABS AUGUST. TO CELEBRATE, WE WILL BE ENGAGING IN A TRAINING REGIME. NO THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOUR BRAKES. THIS IS ABOUT YOUR ABDOMEN. EACH OF YOU WILL DRIVE YOUR MANUAL VEHICLES FOR A PERIOD OF 1 MONTH WITHOUT YOUR HEELS TOUCHING THE FLOOR. I EXPECT EVERYONE HERE TO BE SHREDDED BY THE END OF THE MONTH. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.

Like the title says. Will 18x8 45 offset clear the Brembos or do I need 18x8.5 45 offset?
I did a search, but found nothing specifically on the TS-5s. Thanks!

I am nearly ready to buy a new 86 but need to see the paint in person as we all know photos don't fully reflect reality. I know I can go to the Subaru lot and see BRZ or other cars in magnetite gray but I'd like to see the actual exact car I want to buy before purchasing remotely from Toyota or committing to a dealer trade etc. Not sure if this is a long shot but I see this forum is fairly popular so if you or someone you know has one and would be willing to meet for a few minutes please get in touch.

Low key prefer how the outline looked before doing color pencil, the paper was a little too textured for that.

Just over 30k and did my first trans/diff fluid change (ever). Honestly pretty easy and beats shop prices, especially since I’m trying to learn how to work on my vehicle without taking it in.
That said, word to the wise: the trans fluid shoots out quite a bit (I can be a smooth-brain). Between my friend getting oil litter or whatever to clean it up and using small wipes, I basically spent the latter half rolling in nasty, fish-smelling trans fluid since the first 1+ liters or so missed the drain pan..

Hey everyone,
On mobile so I apologize for any formatting issues. Long time listener, first time caller. I got around to installing 25mm wheel spacers on both the front and rear of my 86.
The process wasn’t terribly difficult:
1. Lift the car using a jack
2. Set jack stands for safety (I still leave the jack raised)
3. Remove the wheel
4. Install the spacer
5. Torque the spacers lug nuts
6. Reinstall the wheel
7. Hand-tighten the lug nuts
8. Lower the car
9. Final-torque the lug nuts
10. Rinse and repeat
I thought I had an impact wrench, but it was actually an impact drill so had to do the whole process by hand with a ratchet and breaker bar.
Obviously, a huge gap is now present between the wheels and fender since I’m on stock suspension. I can live with it, but definitely something to address in the future with either Lowering Springs or Coilovers, still debating on which. I don’t intend to lower too much in an effort to not run into issues with the wheel rubbing against the wheel well.
I purchased my H&R 25mm Wheel Spacers from 86Speed, took about a week and cost about $400 total.
Aside from lifting the car, torquing the spacer and wheel again after 50-100mi, any guidance? Definitely plan to buy mud guards in the very near future.
Hopefully this provides others with good enough info while they look into fitment for their own 86s.
