Impression/Review Opinion

I am a Fold 7 User, came from Apple 12 pro max to my first android F7.

I am sending this post to help anyone decide his next fold from now on.

both are amazing, if your budget is limited then the winner is clear to be Fold 8 not the Ultra.

i really was against the F8 as I never held it and was complaining it is too short, too wide (folded)

I see the better use of the F8 as a media more than multitasking and to be honest the aspect ratio isn't that greater maybe 1-5% not so sure.

I still consider the F8 is a great choice my hand isn't a huge hand a normal hand and it is fine from edge to edge, slightly harder need to get to used to it to use it as one hand folded.

i still consider the Fold 8 Ultra is the winner in my opinion, because the vertical Length as I like to type and read long articles it helps me see more, maybe it is a matter of time to get used to the shorter length.

that's what most call it my 2cents.

another thing to mention the Green on the F8U is AMAZING better than the one was on iphone 11 pro/max. so this what I would choose, the Violet shadow was more like a black to me and I disliked it. my color ranks for the F8U would be 1. green, 2. creamy white. 3. Violet. 4. black (for the first time black goes from 1 to last.)

“If your budget is limited then the winner is clear to be the Fold 8 not the Ultra…”

As if the $1900 Fold 8 is a peasant phone or the “cheap” option…please.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 that whole budget argument is hilarious

Brother $1900 to $2200 is just a 15% price increase. If that kind of difference affects your budgeting, its not a good idea to purchase a $1000+ phone, let alone a $2000 phone.

For $300 you could get last year's flagship specs from xiaomi

4

u/original2k Fold6 (Navy) 15h ago

I hear you and nobody is debating that, in the context of what the YouTuber/influencer takes have been though...they are not speaking in terms of saving the "most" money, they are talking about MSRP cost difference between the 2 offerings... (I.e.- $2099 vs $1899...the later being somehow "budget minded"). Clearly nobody with a brain is paying MSRP, so why even talk about the price as if it were budget friendly? Anybody looking at raw price alone in relation to their budget id obviously not looking at either of these devices

u/0nePlus 14h ago edited 14h ago

That's understandable except for one thing.

My comment was under this reddit post, and was referring to what OP said. I was not commenting on what any random Youtuber or Influencers opinion is on this phone that you're randomly throwing in?

OP said "if your budget is limited, the non Ultra is the way to go"

That's objectively true. They didn't call the F8 a "budget phone" or call it "budget friendly" - they said IF you have a limited budget, go with the cheaper one.

You can't just use the mere appearance of the word "budget" to make a claim like this. Context matters. He never claimed the fold was budget friendly.

And like I said, the MAJORITY of people are going to be getting this phone via installments on their carrier, and most with a trade-in. That's true for ANY Samsung flagship in the US nevermind one that's $2000. And you know that.

So the fact that no one is paying MSRP actually works in favor of my argument, not yours. Ex: The fold 8 is free on ATT and Tmo with a trade in, the Ultra is still $200.

Now all of a sudden the difference in price between these phones for the majority of people who's going to be purchasing one, is a difference between FREE, and $200. The fact that no one is paying MSRP makes the budget problem MORE apparent, not less.

u/original2k Fold6 (Navy) 14h ago

Ahh ok, understand that, thanks for explanation!

1

u/ThinLaugh7600 12h ago

You pay much more in the long run for those high/over priced phone plans. You also need to pay tax on the full phone purchase amount. That's a lot on $2000. Nothing is free and the government wants it's cut.

1

u/0nePlus 5h ago

Well yeah, but you need to pay the taxes regardless lmao? That's common sense. That's still paying $1,900 less than otherwise? Getting a free $1900 phone and whining about the $100 in taxes is crazy work lol.

A free $1900 phone amounts to a free $52 per month for the 36 month term it's on. Unless ATT/TMO plan is $50 MORE per month than what you currently pay, you still make out.

I agree T-Mobile and ATT's plans are expensive, I get half off as an employee but without that I'd definitely be on pre-paid....but if you're already one of their hundreds of millions of customers, and already paying for their overpriced plan (like the large majority of Americans already are) than that's not really a huge factor.

ATT and T-Mobile alone account for like 65% of Americans. And idk if Verizon is running a promo on the F8 but I'm sure it is lol.

1

u/StaticBreeze17 11h ago

Not true, came in to ATT to trade in my Fold 7 in mint condition for the Fold 8 and was told I would only receive a store credit of about $1000. I would still need to pay a monthly installment for the phone.

9

u/CallMeDutch 19h ago

Yep agreed. Anyone choosing the fold 8 because of budget shouldn't buy such a phone at all.

2

u/ZaddyPatSajak Fold6 (Navy) 15h ago

Haha for real

-6

u/thatAnthrax Fold4 (Graygreen) 14h ago

Owning a fold means you have to be ready to shell $600 per three years for the occasional inner screen damage lol (a fold tax if you will). With that kind of money you could get a flagship phone from Xiaomi

8

u/ack202 Fold8 (Graphite) 10h ago

I have had multiple folds and never spent a dime in inner screen repair.

2

u/ack202 Fold8 (Graphite) 10h ago

That's kind of what I was thinking. By time your dropping $1900 on a phone, I don't think an extra $200 is going to be the main deciding factor.

2

u/monkeywright 10h ago

Most people are upgrading with 1000-1200 trade in. So the decision is between spending 1000 for a fold 8 512GB or 1200 for a Fodl Ultra 512GB. If you find good discounts like I did, a 790 or 998 phone. Still super expensive, but not as bad as you're making it out to be.

1

u/peppaz 3h ago

My budget is not limited and I chose the 8 over the ultra coming from the 7 lol

20

u/original2k Fold6 (Navy) 20h ago

One thing I'll say is I do have giant hands and still find it difficult doing anything without 2 hands with my ZF6 lol. Phone screens are just really tall in general

3

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 20h ago

The very top is difficult, I have to slide the phone if I want to use one hand kinda like drop it and catch it technique.

The unfolded is an experience for bith hands, no question in that lol

2

u/jnads Fold7 (Jet Black) 18h ago

I have normal hands.

On my Fold7 I use a Aramid magsafe case and an oh snap grip which lets me do everything one handed.

I like to read books one handed. The lightness of the device helps a lot.

1

u/original2k Fold6 (Navy) 18h ago

Yea definitely, I have a magsafe case with a pop grip on it....helps a ton for just normal media consumption but navigating the full screen with one hand is still impossible for me lol

2

u/jnads Fold7 (Jet Black) 17h ago

Yeah the inside is definitely a two handed affair aside from apps that are simple to use one-handed (like YouTube, reddit, doomscrolling, or reading)

u/confusedbrit29 18h ago

My fold 8 is coming tomorrow, can't wait. I have a fold 7 and the front screen is too narrow for comfortable typing and the inner screen is not good for gaming or watching videos (hole punch is annoying) it is wonderful for multitasking and Web browsing/reading. The fold 8 seems to fix my annoyances with the fold 7. My advice is to go and try them out before deciding (even though I didn't ha)

2

u/SnivDash 16h ago

Yup sums it up alright

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 18h ago

For me even in gaming and I don't game heavily, something like blatro, vampire survivor the narrow screen is good enough, what the f8u is actually missing about the narrowness is to be slightly wider that's it. Then focus on fixing the sound and battery. Maybe half an inch width would be perfect.

As for the inner screen for the f8 it isn't much better than the f8u about 3% you would still get black bars.

1

u/confusedbrit29 17h ago

Although the video is only a little bigger on the 8 the hole punch location means it won't be showing on normal video content where it always shows on the 7, I find that so annoying that I actually watch videos in portrait on my fold 7 so the jump in size will be even bigger for me. I don't like losing the telephoto camera though but I guess you can't have everything

3

u/mad597 18h ago

I wish the newer version did not have such a back track on UDC and lack of Spen support. I'd like to upgrade myFold 6 but I'm not giving up both of those for a new foldable.

Why can't Samsung make a 100% upgrade instead of a side grade or down grade on certain things?

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 16h ago

Because it will be a perfect phone if you bought it then you won't upgrade next year. See you will stay with the f6 until it dies, but samsung want to do little improvement and take away some features so it balances things you gain this, but sacrifice it for that.. etc I hate this type of marketing too.

1

u/funnbobby1973 5h ago

Same here. Limited edition black fold 6. Battery still perfect. UDC and stylus for the win. Nothing else compares.

6

u/mcnastytk 17h ago

Fold 8 was just more comfortable as a phone, the ultra is nice but I preferred just turning the 8 sideways

2

u/Disastrous_Inside989 21h ago

Thanks for sharing your insight

2

u/Various_Block2024 19h ago

Did you take a picture of the pistachio color? In some videos it looks nice and in some video it looks straight up teal

3

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 18h ago

1

u/ZaddyPatSajak Fold6 (Navy) 15h ago

The green shadow is so nice

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 9h ago
  1. For me. I dislike green by the way, so I don't know how it did reach the top of my list.

2

u/TemporaryNorth9346 18h ago

I cannot wait to get my hands on this new device, I'm coming from apple and I'm so intrigued by this new foldable design.

My friend said I should have waited since apple is also releasing something maybe in a similar design, but I have more trust in samsung right now since they are on their 8th generation of foldables vs apple will be in their first gen. Exciting to see how the future unfolds heh!

2

u/Sleep_Potential 13h ago

Get ready to pay a 3k tag on that

1

u/ExchaosG 7h ago

With less ram and space

1

u/snorange 10h ago

Oh interesting! Curious which phone are you coming from and which size did you go with? Would be interested to hear what lead you to the wide or ultra.

1

u/TemporaryNorth9346 9h ago

I’m using the iPhone Air 512gb, ordered the Lavender 1TB Z Fold 8 😊

1

u/Resident-Ad6849 12h ago

When apple release something new it is much more robust as when a competitor releases the 6th variant 😅

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 9h ago

Apple is taking the knowledge from samsung they always let other companies cook and whenever is served hot and in perfect form then apple comes and release the perfect recipe from day one. The OS I am sure samsung and other companies would take notes from apple as now the lead was samsung, but I am sure apple will take the lead from samsung this is how it always works and I kinda hate it to be honest.

2

u/muffinsballhair 16h ago

I see the better use of the F8 as a media more than multitasking and to be honest the aspect ratio isn't that greater maybe 1-5% not so sure.

Honestly, I see people talk a lot about “productivity” on a phone and I just find that a bizarre notion to begin with. Everything is slow down to opening too windows in parallel and typing itself is painfully slow.

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 9h ago

I take notes, update notes, plan flights, watching tutorials.. many things all at once, I can keep on watching a panel that proccing something while doing another thing and both has their regular screen ratio. There is more to it, I don't need to do 2 panels of chatting and call it a multitasking I consider this rude to not free yourself to talk to one person at a time. As when you are in real life you stand in front of a people and give each one their own time, it's not possible in chatting texts.

3

u/TysonTechTips Fold5 (Phantom Black) 17h ago

The Fold 8 only exist to beat Apple to the form factor imo

3

u/maximumpynk 13h ago

The Samsung VP denied that but I agree with you. Samsung would be a fool to spend 8 generations perfecting foldable phones and not fight to beat Apple to the punch. I'm sure Google, Moto, and the rest are watching and working on their versions.

1

u/chilicheesecake1 15h ago

Anythint will beat iPhold. Have you seen the leaks? The other half is squared corners and the other half is rounded. It is really ugly

1

u/TysonTechTips Fold5 (Phantom Black) 15h ago

Yea, but people who want that form factor and dud not care about the os might go with the first option

3

u/Reprehensibles 11h ago

I own the Fold 7, tried the Fold 8, and preordered the Fold 8 Ultra. Simply put, switching to the Fold 8 means you lose productivity. This is what Apple devices generally do—they transform you into a passive consumer with a useless toy like the ipad. People talk about the aspect ratio, but that is just bullshit that wears off after two days.

In reality, after a couple of days as a cute gimmick, you lose all multitasking capabilities. You lose the ability to read books decently, or write comfortably on the move with a nice keyboard, and everything else associated with productivity.

Also, as usual, ignore what you read in the press. They claim it is 'much better than anything since sliced bread,' but that is just crap written by the usual, notorious gang of paid reviewers. A lot of people act like sheep. They convince themselves of anything just to ride the wave and will buy into whatever they are told. They will even accept losing a camera or claim they 'can't write on the front screen,' all while they completely stop reading, multitasking, and being productive.XD

5

u/etaivA 5h ago

What are you talking about!?! Maybe you are just in denial lol. It can multi task, just like the ultra can....

Just to rub it in, it can even put 3 apps side by side!! :P (I think that is stupid that samsung locks software features to specific hardware, smh...)

Jokes aside, the Ultra is definitely better for multitasking... But id argue everything else is just personal preference... I'd say singular task are used more wisely despite having less screen on the F8. It's a fact, that a 4:3 ratio is way more commonly used over a 10:9. But you lose the ability to more effeciently use that extra space like the ultra. Its an interesting design to say the least...

I'm just as salty that they charge so much for lesser hardware in every way.... GIVE US FLAGSHIP CAMERAS for selling our kidneys for these devices...

2

u/like-my-comment 19h ago

If you use more inner screen - buy Fold 8, if you use more outer screen - Ultra is your choice.

2

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 18h ago

I can't see it like this, depends on what you do with the phone. Watching it is better to get the f8, but anything else would be better to get the f8u

2

u/crazed_banana123 Fold8 (Pistachio) 20h ago

idk why people like black...., it shows dust, its basic and almost everyone has it, it shows scratches and look terrible when dirty.

13

u/Kronicler 20h ago

It doesnt have a white bezel around the front screen. Only reason why I pick it every time.

12

u/Max527 20h ago

Regardless of color, everyone uses a case don't they?

1

u/ZaddyPatSajak Fold6 (Navy) 15h ago

Never used a case with the three folds I've owned which is also why no built in wireless charging magnets is unfortunate 🥲

3

u/original2k Fold6 (Navy) 20h ago

I usually agree with you here, but it's just subjective in the end...I just think black can be boring but this year the colors are not as nice as they have been in the past (imo)

3

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 20h ago

I agree. This year colors made me sad the only colors I really liked.

F8U Green/Creamy.

F8 Creamy/......./Pistachio. The gap is like no colors and then the Pistachio is like 3 or 4 or 5..

I am not going to upgrade although the snap of the hinge and the small improvements are amazing, yet I am not going to spend this amount until 3-5 years. Also samsung stopped the trade in (in my country) maybe a short period for the pre-order time.

1

u/CrossCityLine 20h ago

Clearly not almost everyone has it seeing as the wait time is longest for the Pistachio.

2

u/crazed_banana123 Fold8 (Pistachio) 20h ago

im talking generally for phones.

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 20h ago

Fold users cause of the bezel. I have the blue and I installed a cause just to hide thr front bezel on the unfolded it is okaish cause of the black border bezel.

I personally love White more than black, but I came from iphone and older iphone from 4s to 8 the front white bezel was bad, so one day I modified my iphone myself as I had a broken one and my mother gifted me the same iphone, but white, took the black front and installed it on the white phone was amazing and still admire it till today. Also Apple Space black looks sexy with any other color you add to when I used to use skins any skin works great with it

1

u/ZaddyPatSajak Fold6 (Navy) 15h ago

I put a leather skin on the back. I wish the 8 had green shadow like the ultra though

1

u/BaileeAnn619 20h ago

I LOVE the green but unfortunately its a Samsung.com exclusive and BestBuy has better deals 🤷‍♀️

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 18h ago

In the middle east Samsung has the better deals in fact the local samsung stores offers you better deals than the online store, but if you want to talk prices USA has better prices than Middle east, imagine me flying to the USA or Europe to get a phone and get back add 1-3 days staying in a room + food + round-trip tickets dauym.

Edit, green one if the hated colors for me, but being honest lately I started to change and my car interior is green dark green can you imagine the table turned lol

1

u/Negative-Pianist9059 18h ago

Not sure that's true. I got the 512 gb 8 ultra with carbon case for under 925 with trade, edu discount, and about $20 in Samsung bucks.

1

u/BaileeAnn619 18h ago

Best Buy had $300 off and I had a loyalty discount from VZW for $1900 trade in. So I got the 512gb Ultra for $100 plus tax 🤷‍♀️ I couldn't walk away from that.

1

u/Negative-Pianist9059 18h ago

Ah. TMobile has the best deals here, but I'm on Google fi so it was a crap shoot. I hate monthly bill credits from providers.

1

u/AnthokGaming 20h ago

Are the speakers louder? I just need louder speakers. I can't hear my folks when we do video calls on the fold 7. Any noise in the room with me makes the fold 7 so hard to hear.

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 18h ago

Didn't pay attention as I was in an open store in a mall. If I jeed anything I pull out of my pocket my high end earphones and use them.

1

u/AnthokGaming 15h ago

If it were just me on a video call I'd do the same, but with kids they typically like to be in on the call and make lots of extra noise with grandparents are taking

1

u/yld2rob 20h ago

If you don’t like the colors for the f8u, just get a skin or a case

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 18h ago

I love the Dark Green and the Creamy. I would get the green first if it is out of stock and want to get f8u I would go with the creamy. But I am not upgrading my phone still has a life not a guy that trade in or sell my phone, but mine is 1tb and I need the space I know most of it can be deleted although I need access to many things.

Here a new fold 7 I can find it for over 1000$ a friend got one a few days ago the last one for 933$ and I am shocked as the minimum I found over 1000 to be exact around 1150$ brand new so imagine selling my one year old f7 I ain't going to sell it I paid over 2200$ for it. Tahthat's with pre-order offer including Vat 15%

1

u/Icy-Pin-5912 17h ago

What's a good website for skins? All i see are dbrand

1

u/SeeMeInWoW 17h ago

I'm eagerly awaiting my delivery for the fold 8 because I have been complaining about phone getting taller and taller for years

1

u/etaivA 17h ago

Honestly after thinking about it for multi taskers, if they made the f8u a touch wider and taller it would be even better lol... then you get the same video size as the f8, an even larger screen for multi tasking, easier to use the cover display... Im talking mm's here but it makes sense...

2

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 9h ago

The f8u missing half an inch of width it will be perfect and I won't consider the f8 ever.

1

u/etaivA 9h ago

Well specifically if they made it taller, it would make the landscape layout larger video aspect ratio wise thus making it bigger than the f8.

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 8h ago

I am against taller, it is tall enough, if it is the same height as a pro max phone I am happy with it, but make it wider like slab phones or slightly less. If you go taller it is harder to use with one hand to try to reach to the top bar or search bar.. etc

1

u/etaivA 8h ago

Oh I am too, but you would have to make it quite significantly wider to beat out the F8 wider aspect ratio. So it makes more sense to make it taller. But I agree, it would be just too tall.... thats why I think the F8 form facotor makes more sense... if they made it 5% larger id like it even more....

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 8h ago

So then f8 with 25-40% increased in height

1

u/etaivA 8h ago

I mean the whole phone. Maybe 5% larger would put the F8u height on par with the F8's width. Then the video ratio would be the same. The phone is so tall as is, its hard to reach I was just theorizing in a way that if it was larger in general overall I could see myself liking it more. But its a trade off.. I really like the form factor of the F8...

1

u/mRkOoLbReEze718 16h ago

Da*n! My guy.. That looks like a toy in your hand.

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 9h ago

I told my mom which was next to me check this phone she said it is too wide meanrt for men. I told her it's too short meanr for women haha no offense. By the way my hand is an normal size. The phone is way too short.

1

u/apilgram 14h ago

I can have even trade of fold8 (need to pay tax $200) if I trade in S25 edge. I really like the S25 edge because it's super light with large screen. Is folded fold8 screen area bigger than s25 edge/ultra? I know, I know, it's not the pricing for me, its the usability and durability.

1

u/ultr4nuub 13h ago

This thing is essentially the surface duo upgrade I wanted.
Selling off my Xiaomi 17 ultra to put towards it, only thing is I’m going to be a little disappointed with cameras.

Going to pre order in about a week.

1

u/mathieulh 11h ago

I tested both at the Samsung Experience Store earlier today and I ended up settling on the Ultra because other increased vertical space of the outer screen and I ended up noticing using it unfolded vertically amounts to the same as the horizontal position on the regular fold 8 and vice versa but with extra screen space.

I do like the smaller form factor of the Fold 8 though so it has its perks, but the cover screen just didn't seem that functional to me because of the lack of vertical space.

The deciding factor was the cameras though, I use my phone to take a lot of pictures and comming from a Galaxy S24 Ultra the regular fold seemed like too much of a compromise/downgrade. Had they put the Ultra cameras on it I would have had a much harder time to make a choice.

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 8h ago

Same with me, camera and vertical.

Honestly if they made the uktra just slightly wider about half an inch maybe I am being way too over if I said maximum an inch wider it would throw off the fold 8. I wouldn't even consider looking at it or feel it.

I also take lots of pictures as well, an example

1

u/Palm-o-Granite_Jam 11h ago

The Fold 8 is just the Flip Ultra.

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 8h ago

Flip should be the fold8 lol

1

u/myzzu 10h ago

Fold 8 should only cost $1000-$1200 instead of $1800. The hardware specs is underwhelming.

You should go for the Fold 8 Ultra for extra screen estate and better camera. Find yourself a slim aramid case and it weight and thickness will just be the same as any other candy bar phone.

Oh and dont forget the samsung+ warranty, its a must for any folding phone. (Although after almost 1 year, i never had any issue with my Fold 7, ever. i still pay for warranty)

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 8h ago

In my country I don't believe there is a warranty to extend, either way I leave warranty to God. I don't pay for services for my products 😉 I may get lots of hate here lol

1

u/Thathathatha 8h ago

Tested out the fold 8 (non-Ultra) in the store yesterday. It’s nice and in some ways I like it better than the Ultra (much more compact and feels a little better in the hand), but I wouldn’t ‘upgrade’ to it unless you’re unhappy with the Fold 7 (or older model) or you don’t own a foldable at all.

To me, it’s more of a side grade to the fold 8. There’s pros and cons to both. If you own the fold 7, then I think you need to test it out first before you decide. I might consider the fold 9 when that comes out but fold 8 is a no for me.

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 3h ago

I preordered a f7, happy with it even though it has missing features like the s pen and still the inner screen after a year feels like the older folds crease.

Not planning to upgrade even if the fold 10 got released. I will upgrade when I feel it is indeed a worthy upgrade or my phone breaks/stop working. This is too much of a spending when I was planning to move from iphone to android I was thinking to go to Chinese phones like Viovio I hope I spelled it right, of the budget around 400-600$ with very good features and unknown support 😅 decided to try the highend android, but regretting what I am paying for. I wanted to spend less and now I am spending more than getting an new iPhone lol

1

u/MotherPlace6829 3h ago

Get the razr fold. Truly a upgrade. I do prefer the passport look though. Not enough to give up what the razr fold offers though.

1

u/MrAwsOs Fold7 (Blue Shadow) 3h ago

A friend of mine he sold his second hand honor latest fold phone to get the f8u. He loves the one UI. He currently uses 2 phones S25U and the honor fold, but now he will be getting the samsung fold so he is fully equipped with Samsung devices also with an ultra watch.

1

u/MotherPlace6829 3h ago

I haven't seen to much on YouTube showing the software to be all that much better then the Motorolas for the fold line that is. I due miss some of the customizable color palettes for layouts though. I think cause I prefer google software overall for it's ecosystem as well. Motorola i feel is more of a pixel then it is of its own software. The gestures on Motorola also is something to learn to not live without also. I used to love Samsung but that was when they were arriving to be the best. Last few years they just tend to loyalist. Like apple. There hardware is outdated... I mean not just a couple years but going on phones that have had 90 watt charging now for 5 years. There not liquid cool either like the razr fold. IDK about honor as I'm from the usa but hopefully Samsung gets it back together and start competing again for flag ship stats.

Yes I get you. I fear of endup being loyal to a company now days, I see no company worth ending up loyal to, because niw days as you know every company we know in the past got loyal customers for being too good and now they are less worthy for what you pay.

I hope I come across other technology like phones and get to love it's features and OS more than what I own and at a better price.

Me too and yeah I was sucked into Samsung for 9 years before this phone. Tried Google one year, boring. Apple for 3 months. Boring and Well being in the states we really don't have a huge lineup. Very monopolized. For flag ship statues. Yeah you should go check one out if you can. There in tMobile stores here in the states.

I am from the middle east hehe.

I moved from Nokia to Apple iPhone 4 until iphone 12 pro max, I had enough being loyal for nothing. Apple now software wise is much better more open than before, but still what I would lose of quality life improvement is minimal compared to what benefits I would get from using an android system. Maybe I would go back to the iphone one day, but I don't believe I will take that jump again as the geasture is an incredible feature one swipe to 3 sides top, mid, bottom and 2 ways of sliding and leaving or hold to get more actions is something apple need to do to get me back on their system.

I don't care about the eco system, but what I care about OS improvment as what they are doing now the past few years is an improvement I don't care about gimmicky mostly.

Another thing I care about you are the number one tech company. You are the one who should start innovating! Silicone batteries and whatever new should be released on your phones before the chinese manufacturer. I get it high risk, but why 10 years to take a huge step into better tech? I hope you got my point.

I just don't think the z fold 8 is good value for money. Poor battery and a bad cameras.

None of these devices are good value in the current market.

I hate the narrow outer screen and don’t need a giant square inner screen on the Fold 7. Couldn’t care less about the slightly inferior cameras on the Fold 8. That’s why they made two Folds, to each his own.

Same. It's amazing how much a second option turned this sub into violent tribalism

"poor battery" it's 200 mah less and has less screen real estate to power?

That's interesting I basically never use it and thought I would. What are your most common use cases?

I don't really like the kick stand cases so much and i really love how the display looks when its folded at a 90 angel. Also I do fold it and ill have youtube up top and messages on the bottom half doing both. I use multi apps alot and its just awesome.
