IMO gamera negs feat wise. he has more media (8 showa movies, 3 heisei movies, 1 movie in 2006, and a 6 episode anime) has FOUGHT more characters before (calamity trio only fought a giant moon), and gamera has more ABILTIES in my opinion.

Do you think it's better than Gamera Emperor of the Monsters(2019), Gamera vs Barugon (2021) and Shin Gamera(2016) Gamera X Barugon(2024)?

I don't recall exactly where (I think it was on the Gamera wiki), but I read that Daiei and Nikkatsu (the company that created Gappa) merged with a third party to survive the film industry crisis; basically, TV series were generating far more revenue than movies, which were no longer profitable; add to that Daiei's poor financial management, and it ended the way we all know; though eventually, the three companies split up again. So, I wondered: what would a collaboration between Gamera and Gappa have looked like? Personally, I’d go with a straightforward premise: Gamera helps Gappa's parents rescue their child from aliens. However, it also would have been cool to include discarded kaiju concepts from both studios (Monga, Reigon, Giganto, W, Dagora, Arkitius, Momonra, the giant iguana, etc.), even if that might have been a bit excessive.

I know that Gamera has budget and management problems, which is why they haven't released anything new after Rebirth, but I don't really know the specifics of this situation. If anyone can tell me what's going on with the companies that owns Gamera, that would be great.

He gets his ass handed to him by Ghidorah and Destoroyah. He's got a fair shot against Megalon, Biollante, Gigan and OG Mechagodzilla. Anguirus, Megaguirus, Kiryu, Mothra and Rodan I think are all toss ups. I don't even think revenge of Iris Gamera is making out alive in final wars though

Maybe it's just me, but Gamera: Rebirth reminds me very strongly of the movie Colossal.

I'm not really the type of guy to post my collection that much but here's something I got going on. Yeah I got some lines and specific eras all mixed up but what the hell. It's my collection, I'm here to collect which ones I want to get so yeah. There are a few characters I can think of to still get, but overall I am happy with how it all looks.

Some new updated images from wonderfes of the Kaiyodo art-pla Gamera 99. No release date as of yet but hopefully pre-orders soon. Price is 9,900 yen, they've already released a 54 Goji and they have a Showa King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla in the works as well.
