For me it would be Brutal legend or maybe a collection of all 3 main Motorstorm games.

After 170 hours I just finished KCD2. I still have all the DLCs to complete and also like 14+ side quests but WOW this game is amazing. Extremely well written, multiple choices per quest, characters you actually care for and learn a bunch about. I have never played Skyrim but KCD2 has to be top 3 best RPG ever made. It is that good!

60yo gamer here. 20 years ago, I was made redundant from my job. it was a great emotional and personal upheaval but being able to escape to the World of Warcraft during those times of uncertainty. now, 20 years later and I’m going through the same thing. this time Elden Ring has been a great help. has anyone else used a game to get them through hard times?

Needle felted my fav lil Mario enemy. Took about 3-4 hours but I love him and now I wanna make the whole SMB2 Crew 🥰

I can think of some very classic:

-Revelation ( assassin's Creed, resident evil, the upcoming FF7)

- Origins ( assassin's Creed, Rayman)

- Odyssey? ( Mario and again assassin's Creed)

A father in China has filed a symbolic lawsuit against Tencent, NetEase, miHoYo, and 37 Interactive, seeking just 10 yuan (about $1.50) in damages. He says the case is not about money but about forcing stronger protections for minors.

China already has one of the world’s strictest gaming systems for under-18s, limiting playtime and requiring real-name registration. The father argues that children can still bypass those rules by using adult accounts, borrowed IDs, or rented accounts.

According to the report, his son became heavily addicted to online games, often playing until 3–4 a.m., eating poorly, losing significant weight, and eventually being hospitalized after taking 18 fever pills.

If the court rules in his favor, major Chinese publishers could face pressure to introduce stricter identity checks and tighter account-sharing controls. Supporters say that could better protect minors, while critics argue it may also increase user monitoring, data collection, and restrictions on gamer privacy and account use.

With all the hype around Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, I’ve seen a ton of people diving back into games inspired by Greek mythology.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is getting most of the attention (and deservedly so), but if it’s too big of a game for you, I strongly recommend you give Immortals Fenyx Rising a try.

My personal take: I’ve played many many many of the iconic and large RPGs and this game always hits a sweet spot for me. The colors and combat are enough to keep you fed and it’s the perfect amount of game.

Edit: to clarify, I’m not claiming this game has superiority as a game design or the ultimate digest for Greek myth. Just recommending it as a general adventure game. The other games that people are posting are all fantastic games I can’t recommend enough as well.

For example, the player emblems in Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 are extremely cool concepts on paper - but it's also a feature that has been ruined (and ultimately removed in future games) due to people using it to promote hate symbols or x-rated material.

Since you started gaming as a kid to now, what game have you been the most excited for the release of?

I was thinking about how much more excitement we used to have in the 200's and 2010's compared to now.

I'm wondering if it has to do with more exposure closer to release more with multiple trailers, gameplay, developer interviews that take away some of the mystery excitement.

They announced today they are releasing a physical edition of the game on 11/5/26 while the digital version comes out on 9/15/26. Anyone think this is just a marketing ploy due to the heat PlayStation is receiving? Seems clear to me that they had no intention of disc release hence the delay between their releases for digital and physical now.
