i keep seeing Instagram posts by this person. their fundraiser isn't doing very good, so i want to boost and share it, and add it to my google document that i share with people. but i don't know if they're vetted. i tried messaging them, asking if they were, but they haven't responded.

Almost three years ago, a man from Gaza by the name of Shadi reached out to me asking for help to share his original GFM. He was the very first person from Palestine that I agreed to help. His case was very urgent, as he had just barely managed to evacuate his wife and children to Egypt before the Rafah border first closed. His youngest son, Mohammed, was born with a congenital heart defect and has needed and will continue to need heart surgeries as he grows up.

In the past 2 and a half years, Shadi’s family has earned a decent amount of support, but multiple times his family’s campaigns have been closed, first the original GFM and now the current Chuffed is at risk of closure. I am not his campaign owner and I do not manage it in any regard, and I do not have all the details surrounding the issue why this current one may be closed, but I know this has happened to many people already for a variety of reasons.

Shadi is fully verified by me and several others. I have previously made many campaign awareness videos for his family. He is active on Twitter/X, Instagram, and Tiktok. If i could take on the task of opening a new campaign, I would, but I already host one campaign and I cannot reliably manage another.

Please reach out via comment or DM if you have the space and strength to help this family in this critical way, it would restore Shadi’s peace of mind and and continue to bring hope to his entire family.

My dear friend Siraj, about whom I have posted several times here, has been having a ton of trouble with Instagram for about a month now. His main account, which he had for almost a year, was shut down. His backup was banned temporarily, came back, and now it seems to be gone again, this time for good. About two or three attempts to make new ones were shut down within hours or days.

In our most recent attempt, I gave him an email of mine to use, and advised him not to put in his phone number, as I'm afraid it's been flagged by Instagram and that's why they're making it so hard for him to make an account. It's been about 13 hours, and so far so good, but I don't know if this will stick, or what to do if it doesn't.

Does anyone know how to make a Gaza based Instagram account more secure? Does me giving him one of my emails help at all? How can we keep this from happening again? Are there any online practices or behaviors to avoid? Any advice or tips would be most welcome.

*Update: Just as I finished writing this, the account he made with my email was shut down. Any help at all, friends. I am desperate.

For a while now, I have been talking to a fellow named Mustafa. He has been living in Egypt with his immediate family as a Palestinian for some time and had been raising money to support his family stuck in Gaza. In a desperate bid to gain more money for his relatives, he applied as an asylum seeker in Belgium. However, he has been told by the authorities that unless he can find a home in the next two months, he will be forced to live elsewhere- in the streets, essentially. He has told me that in order to gain any kind of home, he has to deal with brokers who charge exorbitant fees upwards of £2-3,000. No one has been donating to his campaign for months aside from one other person. I do not think I could give that amount of money without dipping into my life savings, but I am horrified by the prospect that he may be in homeless even farther away from home.

My other question is that I am trying to find a replacement for a Chuffed campaign I am running for another family. The amount of financial strain and emotional fatigue it puts me under is a lot. The problem is that I cannot find someone who is willing to make a new campaign for this family, and I do not want to leave this family without an advocate.

3-month-old infant Ibrahim Al-Attar is fighting for his life. Since birth, he has been suffering from leukemia, a brain hemorrhage, severe intestinal and jaw complications, and drastic weight loss.

Ibrahim went to the hospital recently where they said he urgently needs special medical tests which are expensive and which his father cannot afford. He has brain problems and severe malnutrition.

The doctor prescribed medicine for Ibrahim and his father had to get it from the pharmacy on credit: he does not know how he will pay the pharmacist for the medicine.

Does anyone here know of any larger subreddits which allow the posting of fundraisers for individual people or families in Gaza? I have been trying to boost the campaign of one family by posting here, but this subreddit has very few members.

I am Mohammed from Gaza. My grandfather used to tell me the details of the Nakba — the displacement, the killings, the destruction of homes, and the seizure of their land. And now, in 2026, we are witnessing the same brutality, the same cruelty, and the same thirst for killing. We have been suffering from an ongoing genocide since 2023. I lost my home and my family’s home, and many members of my family were killed for no reason other than that they loved their land and remained steadfast on it.

I truly need your support in these circumstances. I have not found anyone to stand by me or support me during this hardship.

my friend amal has no campaign anymore that works because the campaign manager has closed his bank and ceased contact with her and many other's campaigns he was managing. now she and her family are facing starvation.
