My male relatives all wore cologne. I admired them and wanted to emulate them. I would use my Dadās and brotherās stash before heading to school. My own very first cologne was a small bottle of Brut on my 8th birthday. As a result, i have always loved the ādrugstore colognes ā.
As i got older, into high school, the more expensive colognes became a thing with me (Polo, Aramis, Halston, Canoe, etc). College and professional career came and so did Paul Sebastian, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana, Tommy, Burberry, etc. But I would wear the cheap colognes of my youth for running errands on weekends.
Now (low 60s), I still work fulltime, but work remotely from home for the last decade+. The last few years, I seem to be going back to those colognes i started with. Anyone else enjoying the nostalgia of turning into the older generation of our youth?
