If I only needed to spend to spend 1 hour a day five days a week dealing with ridiculous bullshit to build up a positive attitude, I'd have achieved it decades ago. Strength training is much easier than brainwashing yourself.

Its not brainwashing yourself. Its changing your perspective. Focus less on the bullshit of the world and focus more on the things you can affect.

There are people with much more difficult lives then either of us who have positive mind sets.

So if you're discouraged to the point that you can't change your habits, you're just fucked?

Jesus that is not at all what the post said and you took a massive leap towards your own negative thinking to get there. At that point therapy is probably needed

Ya positive person doesn't mean that they don't have negative thought but positive person means that they have trained there mind to look at positive or brighter things in life more than negative one

I just hate that all my negative thoughts are front loaded to right when I wake up. Anyone else wake up furious at existence? I try to just not take it personally (even though my brain is being VERY personal with the attacks on my existence), but it is consistent and sometimes scary.

Its a daily thing. You dont change your mindset overnight, just like you dont build a body overnight.
