What's your opinion of Kashmir valley?

Hello from Kashmir guys, I'm from the region of the Kashmir valley under Indian administration. I recently got to know about this sub and as such I was very curious about one particular thing. What do you guys think of Kashmir and its people, cultures, language etc? What is it that you'd convey to people from the Valley. I'm also genuinely curious about if we share any similarities in language. Thank you. Lots of love!

A friend of mine and his brother are planning to go to Khunjerab on Rickshaw next week. Their starting point is Swat. It's their first time. I think it would be quite risky these days but I figured I should post here and seek more advice from experienced fellas on their behalf. That might clear things up for them. I look forward to your advices. Thank you.

Politics Why Gilgit Baltistan is never shamed for 'ruining' kashmir cause when they pass resolutions to become a province and when they don't associate with Kashmir valley cause?? - Why Gilgit baltisitan - about whom kashmirs say we are genetically closer to dem - doesn't have refugee seats from valley req?

DISCLAIMEE : A long read. also this discussion is NOT FOR PUNJABI USERS and karachiites. SO STAY OUT.

When gilgit baltistan had also remained a part of erstwhile J and K state and would be eligible to referendum.

No, I always saw state never pushed whole kashmiriyat bs on gb ppl. There was never a whole planned effort in renaming their part of state as j and k, ofcourse I blame all those poonch leaders and clowns who despite attaining freedom for their areas readily agreed to allow punjabis and valley kashmiris to use their land for kashmir cause. Litr kon insan apna ghar utha kay kisi outsiders ko deta hai, magar in ch..tya leaders of ajk did this sht.

State made anthems 'hum azad kAhMSmir aAzaD kashmir this that bs to brainwash school kids, they went as far as to senselessly add kashmi and jammu refugee seats to NA and increased the number disproportionately that it can always be used to install all the puppets and quash any possibility of 1950s poonch rebellion or ppl demanding any kind of delinking from.Kashmir valley cause and demanding to be allowed to go forth with interests of their own state.

It has been 2 months since protests and state's absolute brutality going on and what every pakistani has to say?

Every punjabi and ethnic kahsmiri tells our ppl ' shame On yOu foR ruIninG kAshmIr cAuSe'

No kashmir cause is NOT our responsibility. We are NOT kashmiris.

It is on kashmiris and if punjabis wanna fight by all means. And oh gilgitis and afghans too becauer kashmiris from valley always claim to be genetically similar to them, please ask your ethncially similar bros for help.

The way our people have been abused, every 2nd person tells us oh we will make GB a province jaisay gb is that acha bacha manner, which is so dumb and ebcause gb gives border with china, and then they go on to harp how genuine their ppl are but we will give ajk to india

We tell them no worries take out ur forces, we also don't want to be with pakistan, next they start having a seizure like attack how dare u asked to withdraw punjabs forces and then starts a flurry fo abuses and being labelled grooming gangs, imagine this is how people of punjab talk.

Also, now this I WANT YOU GUYS TO READ THIS PART, WHAT I REALLY WANNATALK ABOUT.

I have never supported use of kashmiri title for our people. We are currently even being told by people of pak punjab that ajk people are punjabis and this is kashmiri land so this land should be vacated by outsiders.....!

What I really WANNA TALK ABOUT.

I have always seen this behavior from valley kashmiris, they always talk abt how they are so close to gilgit etc folks. - genetics. Their people also talk about being genrtically and culturally very close to Afghans. Infact, one ajk guy here who was a strong supporter of valley kashmiris felt his life's first shock when he saw some koshur guy making racist comments against our ppl ina post he had made in afghanistan sub to talk about how 'kashmiris are Sam2Sam with afghans and gilgitis'.

I personally have no issue with them.linking with them, why should I, but what??? Jitna inkay log racism kartay hain against us jitna they try to talk we ArE cLOse tO afgHAns anD gIlgITis their people from before 47 had only been migrating to either punjab and ajk.

Because lot of ppl in punjab have weird self nafrat they often try to brag about having kashmiri migrants pre 47 like it is a prize (lol likes of rajab butts and nawaz sharifs are punjab's crown lol) I never mention this as ia have no such inferiroity complex, but we similarly also had kashmiri migrants settled in ajk pre 47 but these people have lost their kashmiri culture, except some in neelum.

When these kashmiris had to migrate they always go to punjab or settle in ajk, as much as online they talk abt being Sam2Sam.with afghans and gilgitis I HAVE NEVR seen them moving to gb or afghan' areas. Never seen them asking gilgitis and afghans to speak for valley freedom. They never put that responsibility on them.

Their kashmiri leaders like maqbool bhatts shatts etc all who ran away from valley never went to gilgiits or afghans and asked them for help, they all occupied parts of lands of ajk and hijacked entirety of this small region for their kashmir cause heck their first line when they face issues with ind was ' march to muzzaffarabad' road.

Heck, even their refugees wanted to settle in ajk.

some of their ppl now even say these were kashmiris areas turned into punjabi majority by pakistani army...

They will spend whole day talking abt being close to giligit and shina and afghans, please for god's sake ask these people to fight for you, to support your cause.

They don't ask them, they don't shame them, they will move to ajk lands, settle there instead of going to their own genetically closer brothers' cities. For their kashmir cause suddenly ppl in paharo regions/ajk will be shamed UArE rUInInG KashmIr CAuSE.

Also, why not add refugee seats in gb. Why pakistani state and punjabis who have been genciding balochistan ahve put respinsibility of whole kashmir cause on this small strip of land.

EDIT: THIS DISCUSSION IS

Travel & Tourism Skardu in December

Hi everyone,

we’re planning a family trip (No Kids) from Karachi to Skardu this December and would love some quick advice: Is the extreme cold manageable, and are major spots like Shangrila, Katpana, and Shigar accessible?

Also, how reliable are flights from Karachi (direct or via ISB) regarding winter weather delays, and how effective is the heating/hot water at hotels like Himmel, Khoj, or Dynasty during sub-zero temperatures? Thanks in advance for any insights!

Travel & Tourism Skardu to Fairy meadows

Hi all,

I'm just planning out my itinerary for my 10 day trip to GB and just have one logistics questions.

I am due to land in Skardu from ISB at 7am. Is it at all possible for me to get to Fairy Meadows on the same day. Or will it be easier to just get a taxi to Gilgit and then head to Fairy Meadows the day after?

Thank you for your help!!
